The compulsory supervised internship (CSI) is developed in the last period of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine and aims to bring the student closer to practice, combining the theory learned in the classroom with the internship in the area of interest, as well as the conclusion of the undergraduate course. The CSI was performed, with a workload corresponding to 420 hours, at the Dr. Renato Melo Veterinary Clinic, located in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, under the supervision of the M.V. Esp. Renato Domingos de Melo and and guidance from professor Dsc. Grazielle Anahy de Sousa Aleixo. The present work describes the activities carried out in the area of clinical medicine and surgery during the internship period and describes the case report of a feline submitted to ovariohysterectomy as a treatment for pyometra.
