    A formação da sociedade do cansaço: uma reflexão sobre a educação a partir de uma escola pública de Recife

    Havin in sight the alarming number of young students from Recife nowadays with psychic problems, like depression, anxiety, Burnout syndrome etc. The present work aims to analyze if it’s possible to estabilish a direct relationship between the socialization made by the education with the increanse in the rate of psychic disorders of this population. Does the current educational model exert neuronal violence in young people? If so, in what ways this violence is exercised? And what are the consequences of this violence? To verify the truth of the thesis and answer these questions, a field research was made using questionnaires and interviews with students and former students with the purpose of collecting data to be analyzed and support a theoretical discussion capable of verifying this thesis. It is concluded that it’s possible to estabilish a relationship between education and the population’s psychic illness insofar as it internalizes values and routines that throws the individual in a life full of neuronal violences that contribute to the formation of psychic problems.

    O consumo de bebidas alcoólicas como forma de lazer nas classes populares do Recife

    This monograph presents a small study about the consumption of alcoholic beverages as a form of leisure in the popular classes of Recife, to analyze this phenomenon resorting to the dispositional theory or the action and to the concepts of social classes, leisure and consumption. We thus constructed two sociological portraits to identify the motives or factors that led individuals in the lower classes to choose to consume alcoholic beverages as a leisure practice, rather than other forms of free time use. We hypothesize that the consumption of alcoholic beverages is considered by these actors a common act, carried out by means of embodied dispositions built during their life trajectories. At the same time as a result of this cultivation of inclinations for this practice, the consumption of alcoholic beverages contribute, in this social stratum, to an expansion of socialization networks that involve concrete dimensions of social life, such as family, professional life and relationships Community policies. Therefore, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is seen by these individuals of the popular classes as a legitimate form of leisure, even though they are aware that there are other possible forms of entertainment that do not necessarily involve this act. The relationship of these other forms, however, according to the data of this research, in order to be considered legitimate, like the consumption of alcoholic beverages, must undergo a continuous process of enrollment in individuals, as predispositions to other ways of thinking, feel and act in the social world.

    Socialização no ambiente universitário: mediações nas relações docentes e discentes

    This work aims to investigate the socialization in the university environment from the mediations in the relationships between professors and students in the Bachelor of Social Sciences course at UFRPE. To do so, at first there was a bibliographical review, based on the literature consultation that deals with the themes of the history of social sciences at UFRPE from the perspective of the concept of authors who dialogue with the socialization and analysis of the Pedagogical Project of the Course ( PPC). During the data collection research, carried out through a questionnaire with the participation of twenty students, socializing experiences are evidenced both based on cooperation and solidarity, as well as on control and manipulation, with the first overlapping the second.

    Uma análise sobre as concepções de masculinidades dos alunos de Bacharelado em Ciências Sociais da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE)

    This research seeks to understand masculinities and socialization processes. The work begins with a debate on the socialization process that Peter and Brigitte Berger (1977) characterize as the imposition of social behaviors. Afterwards, a discussion on hombrity models. His theoretical discussion recalls what Connel (1995) said about patriarchal aspects of certain performances of masculinities. Finally, a short conversation about what Santos (2005) said about the university crises and then Chauí (1999) is used to think about her idea of an operational university and university as a social institution. Although direct observation was not possible due to the health crisis of COVID-19, the semi-structured online interview technique was used to answer the key problem of this research: how are the masculinity models of social science students at UFRPE formed? As a final result, it is found that factors such as parents, friends, and institutions such as the military service and the university are responsible for spreading models of masculinity, but the models are not static and are always in a state of reconfiguration.
