Item Mulheres camaçarienses e sua inserção na indústria petroquímica nos anos 1970(2019-08-17) Krein, Luciana; Santos, Adriano de Araujo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3805592182766488; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0731909906926328The objective of our study is to analyze how the insertion of the Camaçari women occurred in the Petrochemical Complex of Camaçari/Bahia in the 1970s, after the implantation of the same. Considering the gender inequality present in our society and in the most diverse sectors of work, we feel the need to understand how these labor relations were processed in such an important moment in the history of local and national industry. In this way, we believe that this work will contribute to broadening the understanding on issues related to gender inequality, as well as aspects related to discrimination. Our theoretical reference was based on authors who approach the gender issue with Scott (1989) and Santos (1988), the labor market Guimarães (1997). The line of research was qualitative with Minayo (2011). Regarding the sources, consultations were carried out on documents from the public archive of the Municipality of Camaçari, as well as data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), referring to the 1970s. Still in relation to sources, Oral History, Alberti 2005), served as a tool for data collection. Four open interviews were conducted with Camaçari women, who experienced the installation of the pole; for the treatment of the results we used the technique of content analysis with Bardin (1977). The results indicate that the Camaçari women found difficulties of insertion in the industry, and when inserted received lower wages and faced harassment and discrimination on the part of the bosses and companions of work.
