The training took place under the guidance of Professor Lílian Sabrina Silvestre de Andrade and supervision of the Veterinary Medicine Maria Raquel de Almeida, and was based on the follow-up of the hospital routine of the anesthetic procedures performed at the veterinary hospital. The objective was to highlight the routine of the internship, covering aspects of the place, activities developed and casuistry. In addition, the case report of a pediatric patient treated during the stage submitted to sciatic and femoral nerve block for femoral osteosynthesis, presenting particularities of the pediatric patients, anesthetic techniques employed, as well as the drugs used, is also presented. Locoregional anesthesia has been widely used in veterinary medicine, since it is possible to reduce the requirement of general anesthetics for submission of a favorable transoperative and reduce the use of analgesic drugs in the postoperative period of the animals, thus promoting the reduction of effects associated with them. Femoral and sciatic nerve blocks proved to be effective in increasing the postoperative pain threshold in patients who underwent orthopedic surgery, which is known to promote moderate to severe pain.Item Hipotireoidismo em cães – Relato de caso(2019-01-16) Valentim, Bruno de Oliveira; Rolim, Maria Betânia de Queiroz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5676854885081836; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3516233024211801This report is the result of the Mandatory Supervised Internship in Veterinary Medicine in the Small Animal Clinical and Surgical Clinic area conducted at the Clínica Veterinária Arionaldo de Sá, located in Recife, from September 18, 2018 to December 7, 2018, as a partial completion requirement. During the internship period, it was possible to follow the activities of the general care routine, where a case of a dog with metabolic and systemic changes suggestive of hypothyroidism was selected. After clinical evaluation of the animal the suspicion of hypothyroidism was confirmed through the hormonal dosage of fT4, and hormone replacement therapy was prescribed as recommended in the literature. The Mandatory Supervised Internship in the chosen area proved to be an indispensable and very important moment for professional training, since it enabled the practice of the knowledge acquired during the course and the exchange of information and knowledge with experienced professionals.Item Relatório do Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), realizado na área de clínica cirúrgica do Hospital Veterinário da UFRPE, e no Hospital Veterinário Petdream, localizados em Recife-PE(2018-12-27) Lima, Nathalia Vanessa Saraiva; Aleixo, Grazielle Anahy de Sousa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3165940085830406; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7344457831934668Item Relatório de Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório - ESO(2018-08-09) Ramos, Manoel Carlos Freire; Santos, Edna Michelly de Sá; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5706618430575429; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3507463870291043
