    This report aims to present the activities developed during the Mandatory Supervised Internship, which was carried out in the area of medical and surgical clinic of small animals, at Pet’s House veterinary clinic in Recife, during the period of October 20th to December 10th of 2018. The activities carried out in the clinic consisted of clinical follow-ups, vaccinations, oncological consultations, surgical procedures, imaging-based diagnoses (ultrasound), CAAF performance (cytology by fine needle aspiration), performance and analysis of skin scrapings and chemotherapy cessions. Thus, this work aimed to describe the activities developed during this internship, as well as detail the routineof some consultations and procedures.

    The Obligatory Supervised Internship (ESO) in Veterinary Medicine, was held in the commercial area, in the company AmoedoDistribuidora, located in Imbiribeira, Recife/PE, from August 12, to November 27, 2019, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour daily workload, totaling 420 hours. In the internship was experienced, the activities of technical visits, technical promotion routines, commercial routines, management routines, interaction with the end consumer on the importance and animal care, promotion of events and training, and accompanied by the assignment of a technical responsible for an establishment of veterinary products. During the technical promotion visit to the Animania Veterinary Clinic, located in the neighborhood of Torre, Recife, Pernambuco, the demonstration of the dissociative anesthetic protocol was followed, entitled as TTDEX, composed of the association of four different drugs: tiletamine, zolazepam, butorphanol and dexmedetomidine in a healthy cat submitted to the surgical procedure of ovariohisterectomy. The cat was monitored and evaluated for muscle relaxation, analgesia and anesthetic recovery time promoted by the dissociative anesthetic protocol through the observation of physiological parameters, including heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure, and the response presented by the animal was satisfactory.

    EstágioSupervisionadoObrigatório (ESO) is a compulsory course of the 11th semester of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicinewith a total workload of 420 hours. It enables students to earn practice experience within a chosen area, along with the knowledge previously acquired through the Bachelor. This report describes the activities carried out during the internshipin the area of Small Animals Clinic at Santo Agostinho Veterinary Hospital (SAHV),located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, from September the 18th, 2018 to Decemberthe 04th, 2018. The objective of the internship was to experience the routine of the hospital’s small animal clinic, by following up consultations, collection of material for examinations, observation of the animals in the hospital, visualization of the results of exams and discussion of cases with the veterinarians at the hospital. Thus, the undergraduate aimed at improvingher theoretical and practical knowledge, gaining experience in the small animal clinic and obtaining greatersecurity in the interpretation of exams.

    This report is the result of the Mandatory Supervised Internship in Veterinary Medicine in the Small Animal Clinical and Surgical Clinic area conducted at the Clínica Veterinária Arionaldo de Sá, located in Recife, from September 18, 2018 to December 7, 2018, as a partial completion requirement. With the objective of describing the casuistry followed and reporting a case of interest. During the internship period, it was possible to follow the activities of the general care routine, where a case of a dog with metabolic and systemic changes suggestive of hypothyroidism was selected. After clinical evaluation of the animal the suspicion of hypothyroidism was confirmed through the hormonal dosage of fT4, and hormone replacement therapy was prescribed as recommended in the literature. The Mandatory Supervised Internship in the chosen area proved to be an indispensable and very important moment for professional training, since it enabled the practice of the knowledge acquired during the course and the exchange of information and knowledge with experienced professionals.

    The Obligatory Supervised Internship in Veterinary Medicine was carried out in the area of Small Animal Clinical and Surgery, at the Tierärztliche Fachpraxis für Kleintiere – Dr Ursula Heim, located in Fürth, Bayern - Germany, between March 12th to June the 1st, 2018, from Monday to Friday, with a workload of 8 hours, total of 420 hours. The activities of the Internship were coordinated by Prof. Dr. Maria Cristina de Oliveira Cardoso Coelho, professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco – UFRPE and by the supervisor Dr. Ursula Heim, graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (LMU), doctorate degree at the State University of Ohio and director of this clinic. In the internship the clinical routine was experienced, going through all the services offered, simple examinations to specialized in the areas of ophthalmology, dermatology and surgery, in addition to diagnostic imaging and laboratory, among other procedures; all activities are described in this report, with a brief discussion of the cases that occurred in that period. The internship is the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge, and allows a real experience in the professional area, complementing to the professional learning and compulsory discipline for the academic formation in the course of bachelor in veterinary medicine of UFRPE.
