Item Lesão em plano nasal em um cão com leishmaniose: relato de caso(2024-07-19) Albuquerque, Juliana Maria de Oliveira; Santos, Edna Michelly de Sá; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5706618430575429; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7811017024129430This work aims to describe the activities carried out during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), in the area of Clinical Medicine with a focus on Veterinary Dermatology. Divided into two parts, the first developed at the Experimental Laboratory of Chemotherapy in Veterinary Parasitology (LEQPV), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Júlio Israel Fernandes and the second, at the Univet Barra Veterinary Clinic, under the supervision of M. V Roberto dos Santos Teixeira, under guidance from Prof. Dr. Edna Michelly de Sá Santos. Both sites are located in the state of Rio de Janeiro and were carried out from April 8, 2024 to June 21, 2024, totaling 420 hours. The activities carried out were monitoring and assistance in consultations, carrying out low-complexity procedures, collaboration in the imaging sector and infirmary. This report describes the characteristics and case studies of the locations during the internship period. It will also report a case of lesion in the nasal plane in a dog with visceral leishmaniasis, of no defined breed, 5 years old, male, castrated, 11k, which in the nasal mirror presented an erythematous, non-pruritic, depigmented, ulcerated lesion, with loss of architecture and hyperkeratosis, caused by a probable immune-mediated action of Leishmaniasis.Item Análise epidemiológica das notificações das leishmanioses e leptospirose humana no estado de Alagoas, Nordeste do Brasil(2020-11-06) Bugarim Neto, Clarício Alvim; Barros, Mércia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1935392548217410; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9863818675601439The Compulsory Supervised Internship (ESO) is part of the curricular matrix for completing the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the “Universidade Feral Rural de Pernambuco” (UFRPE). The student completed his total workload of 420 hours, from August 17 to October 30, 2020. Veterinary physicians professionals play an important role in Public Health, which constitutes an eminent field of interdisciplinary performance, through the application of knowledge professionals, aiming at the prevention of diseases or injuries and the promotion and recovery of animal and human health. The present work of conclusion of the course contains the description of the activities developed in the “Superintendência de Vigilância em Saúde” (SUVISA), which is an organ belonging to the “Secretaria de Estado da Saúde de Alagoas” (SESAU) and to report an epidemiological analysis of the notifications of leishmaniasis and leptospirosis in the state of Alagoas that was carried out during the internship period. Surveillance aims at the continuous observation of the distribution and incidence of diseases through the systematic collection, consolidation and evaluation of reports, regulating the dissemination of this information to the entire population. In the health field, surveillance is related to the practices of care and promotion of it to citizens and to the mechanisms adopted for disease prevention. The activities developed provided constructive moments, also promoting criticality within the moral and ethical-professional precepts. ESO contributed greatly to the level of practical learning, allowing us to observe the importance of integration between the services provided by the Unified Health System and the need for attention from new veterinary medical professionals to the concept of One Health, which seeks effort collaborative work of several professionals who work locally, nationally and globally, to achieve optimal health for people, animals and our environment.Item Relatório de Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), realizado na Clínica Veterinária Arionaldo de Sá - Recife. Leishmaniose Canina - Relato de caso(2020-09-23) Pires, Bruna Menezes; Andrade, Lílian Sabrina Silvestre de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0894888392191039; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2826454514949845This report is the result of the Mandatory Supervised Internship in Veterinary Medicine held at Clínica Veterinária Arionaldo de Sá, located in the city of Recife, from March 2, 2020 to June 12, 2020, as a partial requirement for completing the course. The objective was to follow the clinic routine and classes a case of interest. During the internship period, it was possible to select a case of a dog diagnosed with leishmaniasis. After clinical evaluation of the animal, hospitalization was indicated where it had intensive monitoring and evolution of the condition. It was an extremely important and indispensable moment for professional growth and training. It allow the visualization and application of the knowledge acquired at the university, now in professional life, as well as making contacts with experienced professional in the desired area.
