Item Revisão de literatura: o impacto do uso de antibióticos na indústria avícola brasileira: alternativas e desafios para saúde pública(2024-03-05) Albuquerque, Saimo Araujo; Sena, Maria José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5401565291241155; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8554463131618230This work aimed to synthesize sustainable practices in an industrial-scale poultry farm, Santa Isabel Agropecuária Ltda., and analyze the use of antibiotics and their alternatives in Brazilian poultry farming. The Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), carried out as part of the requirement to obtain the Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Alternative practices were sought to the use of Antibiotics as Growth Promoters (APC), with the aim of contributing to public health and combating bacterial resistance. The methodology involved observing the daily routine of a poultry farm that produces eggs without the need for APCs. And the comprehensive literature was reviewed, which included the analysis of scientific publications in databases and specialized literature between the years 2013 and 2024. The results indicated the effectiveness and need for alternative methods to APCs for the sustainability of the sector and animal health and human, highlighting the importance of policies for the responsible use of antibiotics in poultry production.
