Item Levantamento e classificação da toxicidade das plantas ornamentais presentes nos parques urbanos de Recife - Pernambuco(2023-05-02) Zelaquett, Danilo de Souza; Brasileiro, Hélida Maria de Lima Maranhão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4735569144086617; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2587653841058709The presence of green areas in urban centers is essential for the well-being of the population, but many ornamental plants can be toxic. The toxic agents of plants are linked to their secondary metabolism such as oxalates, saponins, alkaloids, glycosides and terpenes. Although the number of cases of plant poisoning is small, children are the most expected. The objective of this study was to carry out a survey of toxic ornamental plants present in 07 urban parks in Recife, capital of Pernambuco, and classify them according to their degree of toxicity. For this, instruments were used to collect information and record images, taxonomic identification, classification of the degree of toxicity, description of the part of the plant related to poisoning and prevalent toxic metabolites. In the parks, 29 species of toxic ornamental plants were identified, belonging to 12 botanical families, of which species from the families Apocynaceae, Araceae and Euphorbiaceae totaled 52%. The species Mangifera indica, Sansevieria trifasciata, Plumeria rubra and Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum were the most common, while the plants with the highest degree of toxicity found in the parks were Duranta erecta, Lantana camara, Nerium oleander and Thevetia peruviana. In all the evaluated parks, toxic plants were found near the recreation and food areas, most of the time unidentified, and with free access to the population and animals. Thus, it is necessary that the choice of species used consider their toxic potential, that more studies are careful and that educational activities are implemented for population knowledge and the adoption of preventive measures for accidents.Item Efeito da dieta nas atividades de dois grupos de vida livre de saguis do Nordeste (Callithrix Jacchus) do Parque Estadual de Dois Irmãos, Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil(2019) Rocha, Pedro Ivo Aragão; Oliveira, Maria Adélia Borstelmann de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6104426668816123; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2480308743553903Item Análise de rede social e dinâmica espaço-temporal de um grupode macacos-prego (Sapajus libidinosusSPIX, 1823) no zoológicodo Parque Estadual de Dois Irmãos, Recife, PE(2019) Cescon, Pedro Aguilar; Oliveira, Maria Adélia Borstelmann de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6104426668816123; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1681320903044373The growing maintenance of animal specimensin captivity, kept in zoos and sanctuaries, and in Centers of Wild Animals Screening (CETAS), have raised more and more the necessity of newstudy approaches oncaptive animals, as means to reach a higher understanding about the behavioral biology of each species. As such, interventionist actions in spaces of captivity and the adequation of enrichment actions for the betterment of animals’ welfarebecome preponderant. Capuchin monkeys (Sapajus libidinosus) are animals native to Brasil, which exhibit a varied range of behaviors, both individual and social. At the same time, they are targets of capture fromboth the traffic of wild animals and scientific studies, precisely due to their behavioral variety and apparent inteligence. The Social Network Analysis comes as a tool in the study of social behaviors, becomingan increasingly more commonpracticein researches with primates worldwide. The Parque Estadual deDois Irmãos (PEDI)owns in its animal collectiona group of four individuals of the aforementioned species. As a way to understand the social relations between the individuals and the use of the captivity space by these animals, this project aimed for the statistical analysis of the behaviors of the subjects over space and time. A collection of data fulfilled through the counting of seconds of each activityand its specific place of happeningwas employed for the group analysis. Socially, the animals were evaluated via the production of sociograms, net structures that relate actors inside a group and the relations established between themselves. The chosen methodology was revealing in what concernsthe general aspects of the reproductive colony studied, but it also allowed a visualization of subtle characteristics between the animals and the space occupied by them. The obtaining of diversifieddata allowed for a bigger understanding of the social dynamics involved, and how further actions and researches canbe executed, bringing more pointed results in the analyses that have as aim the betterment of a captive individual’s welfare.Item Avaliação microbiológica da água e do camurupim (Megalops atlanticus) na Lagoa do Araçá, Recife, PE, Brasil(2018) Silva, Maria Karollyna Gomes da; Shinohara, Neide Kazue Sakugawa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7105928729564845; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5632033938926317The fish are important protein sources for feeding human being, however they can be vehicles of diverse pathogenic microrganisms for the public health. When it has pollution, the environment in which these animals are inserted if it becomes a way of bacteriological contamination, influencing in microbiota of the fish. Soon, if it makes not only necessary to monitor the quality of the food, but also to follow the water of where it was removed. The Lagoon of the Araçá, situated in Recife-PE, is inserted in a Unit of Conservation of the Nature, however, the great amount of and effluent domestic and industrials who receive daily has caused increasing alteration and degradation in the local ecosystem. Ahead to this problematic one, the present study it had as objective to evaluate the microbiological quality of the water and the Megalops atlanticus in the Lagoon of the Araçá. In the period of October of 2017 the June of 2018, water collections had been carried through for microbiological analyses. The samples of fish had been acquired from local fishing in the period of August of 2017 the June of 2018, for determination of the centesimal composition; of the percentage of eatable parts after-processing and microbiological evaluation using as indicating total and thermotolerant coliforms, Staphyloccocus aureus, Salmonella sp., Pseudomonas spp. e Clostrídio reducing sulfite 46ºC (Clostridium perfringens). The gotten results disclose high concentrations of total and thermotolerant coliforms in the water of the Lagoon of the Araçá, being above of the standards established in the Resolution nº 357/2005 of the CONAMA. The results found in relation to the fish are in compliance with the RDC nº 12/2001 of the ANVISA, but we do not have to discard the risk how much to the consumption due to the joined concentrations of bacteria of fecal origin, that confirm the contamination in the estuary for pathogen proceeding from the oustings of effluent. In accordance with the results of the centesimal composition, were observed that the Megalops atlanticus is a lean fish with raised protein text, and that its initial weight influences the incomes of filet, not eatable head and residues. These data assist how much to the information of this fish in the Lagoon of the Araçá and alert how much to the risk in the consumption for the population. In front of this, is recommendable that the governmental bodies search to consider action for the improvement of the sanitary conditions of the Lagoon of the Araçá, especially the adequate treatment of the domestic sewers that affect directly in the dynamics of this ecosystem.
