    Produção de uvas sem sementes no Vale do São Francisco – Fazenda Nova Neruda

    The obligatory supervised stage was held at the Nova Neruda farm, located in the city of Petrolina - PE, and had the purpose of accompanying through the experience all the activities related to the production of table grapes in the largest fruit producing region of the country and one of the largest world. The varieties produced in the property are: BRS Vitória, BRS Isis, both of them created by Embrapa; Sugar Crisp®, Cotton Candy® and Crimson which are foreign varieties. The company always tries to destine its production mainly to the export, but also serves a part of the demand of the domestic market. During the internship process, several activities related to the productive cycle of the grapevine were developed, such as dry pruning, Dormex® application, dry mooring and branch management, sprouting, shoot density control, green bundling, defoliation and shading control, thinning berry control, bunching of bunches, pre-cleaning, monitoring of pest and disease management, monitoring of irrigation management, and fertigation and harvesting. The activities developed in the packing house were also experienced, accompanying from the arrival of the fruit of the field, passing through the packing, quality control until the palletization and loading of the grape in the truck. The knowledge acquired in the classroom together with the experience gained in the activities carried out during the day-to-day life at the farm provided great learning on many aspects, both of the technical part of the agronomist profession, and of the social part of developing a work in team, fundamental to the good training of a professional and the success of the company. During every stage, the responsibility of these people was highlighted, always seeking a sustainable and quality production.
