Havin in sight the alarming number of young students from Recife nowadays with psychic problems, like depression, anxiety, Burnout syndrome etc. The present work aims to analyze if it’s possible to estabilish a direct relationship between the socialization made by the education with the increanse in the rate of psychic disorders of this population. Does the current educational model exert neuronal violence in young people? If so, in what ways this violence is exercised? And what are the consequences of this violence? To verify the truth of the thesis and answer these questions, a field research was made using questionnaires and interviews with students and former students with the purpose of collecting data to be analyzed and support a theoretical discussion capable of verifying this thesis. It is concluded that it’s possible to estabilish a relationship between education and the population’s psychic illness insofar as it internalizes values and routines that throws the individual in a life full of neuronal violences that contribute to the formation of psychic problems.

A mulher cultivada: a construção social da mulher, presente no conteúdo do jornal pentecostal Adnews
(2019-12-19) Rocha, Kiara de Sena Fernandes; Souza, Claúdio Morais de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245887717292317
This monograph is an analysis of the Pentecostal media that has as object of study the "ADNews Journal" (Official Journal of the Evangelical Church Assembly of God in Pernambuco). It seeks to understand how this woman is cultivated through the editions of the newspaper, and understand the extent of the discourses present in the newspaper ADNews about the social construction of an ideal of woman, in order to systematize the themes and discourses present in ADNews that talk about the woman, and how this image is transmitted. The methodology for this work took place through the reading of the newspaper ADNews, covering a period from 2017 to 2019. This reading and systematization of data were guided by the theoretical and methodological material of content analysis (CA), in addition to the theoretical framework of the sociology of communication. We seek to identify and reflect on the characteristic elements that will compose the content produced about Pentecostal women, considering that these discourses are socially constructed and contributing to the production of a specific ideal of women. The work seeks to understand to what extent the ADNews Journal can be an instrument of control of the woman's body. We raise as a hypothesis that the newspaper ADNews is a technology of power, which promotes an idealized discourse of pentecostal women that one wishes. This cultivated body interferes with the relationships of domination between men and women. The content in religious discourse produces a male body that takes advantages over the feminine, since such discourse regulates and subordinates the female body against the male. The result of this research is that to a media control over women through the images, and the discourses presented in the columns that quotes the woman, determining her behavior, building an ideal of woman, which she must be willing to accept to to become a woman and servant of God, one must have obedience to the Lord, to be a wise, submissive honorable woman, building of the home, and as a helper to her husband.

Informalidade nos trilhos: jovens trabalhadores no metrô do Recife
(2019) Carneiro Junior, Risael Sybalde; Brito, Paulo Afonso Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891943804378064
This monograph starts from the observation that the world of work is structuring of social relations in human societies, therefore, the category of work is important for sociology in its effort to explain social phenomena. During the twentieth century profound changes marked the world of work, we deal specifically with informal work among young people, highlighting the reasons that lead young people to this type of work and raising the hypothesis that they belong to low income, needing complementary sources for family support, while seeking a professional qualification for a more stable job. As a central objective, we define by investigating the causes that lead young people to submit to informal work, which is highly precarious in the Recife subway. The methodological approach was based on qualitative research, through individual semi-structured interviews and field observations, as theoretical references from the founders of sociology to the contemporary authors of the sociology of work, with emphasis on Brazilians Ricardo Antunes and Giovanni Alves, and for youth studies, we focus on Helena Abramo. In conclusion, we demonstrate how the hypothesis was confirmed, however, that the concept and condition of "low income" is insufficient to characterize the daily dynamics and life expectancy of young informal workers.

This monograph presents a small study about the consumption of alcoholic beverages as a form of leisure in the popular classes of Recife, to analyze this phenomenon resorting to the dispositional theory or the action and to the concepts of social classes, leisure and consumption. We thus constructed two sociological portraits to identify the motives or factors that led individuals in the lower classes to choose to consume alcoholic beverages as a leisure practice, rather than other forms of free time use. We hypothesize that the consumption of alcoholic beverages is considered by these actors a common act, carried out by means of embodied dispositions built during their life trajectories. At the same time as a result of this cultivation of inclinations for this practice, the consumption of alcoholic beverages contribute, in this social stratum, to an expansion of socialization networks that involve concrete dimensions of social life, such as family, professional life and relationships Community policies. Therefore, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is seen by these individuals of the popular classes as a legitimate form of leisure, even though they are aware that there are other possible forms of entertainment that do not necessarily involve this act. The relationship of these other forms, however, according to the data of this research, in order to be considered legitimate, like the consumption of alcoholic beverages, must undergo a continuous process of enrollment in individuals, as predispositions to other ways of thinking, feel and act in the social world.

The social movements burst with spectacular mobilizing and formulating power in the May 1968, profoundly changing agenda, characters and methods involving the social popular struggle so far; from the working class, the working world, the factories sites, to the plurality of subjects, diversity of mottos, occupation of streets, squares, universities, incorporating questions such as peace, race, gender, identity, among others. Bearing this new notion in mind, this work focus the discussion in the social movement called “Movimento em Defesa da Mata do Engenho Uchôa”, studying its role as a changing agent in a given local reality. This movement follows the tradition of social movements in Recife throughout the History of Brazil, being able to place itself as a representative of the desires of several communities neighboring the Engenho Uchôa woodland. However, the movement fits in the dimension regarding the socalled “New Social Movements”, because it is notorious for the defense of the environment, which ascended from a local demand, but is present in a global agenda of collective efforts.

The Congenital Zika Virus Syndrome is a disease that has no cure, characterized by inducing a neurological malformation that causes the head circumference of the newborn measurements ≤ 32 cm. Its main form of transmission is by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, whose reproduction depends on the poor housing conditions and sanitation. With these means, this study points out which part of society is more affected than others. That's why this research aims to trace the socioeconomic profile of caregivers of children with microcephaly by Zika virus in Pernambuco, represented by a sample taken from CERVAC. The data was collected from 11 users of the institution of a total of 13. The research was done at this center because of the ease of access to information due to resistance from the government and mothers. Because there are other centers of greater breadth and larger numbers of users. Even so, this study has its value due to the participation of the researcher together with the users throughout the treatment offered by the center.

University extension is a topic widely debated in academic, social and political environments. However, there are different conceptions about it. In this sense, this research aimed to identify which concept of extension permeated the process that culminated with the construction of the Agrarian Reform Fair at UNICAP. To this end, the qualitative methodology was adopted, using at first the collection of information by documentary analysis in the final report of the 1st Forum of Local Development of Agreste de Pernambuco, in the Extension Project of the Agrarian Reform Fair and the Fruit of the Earth Consumption Group in related photographs. Subsequently, semi-structured interviews and simple simultaneous observations were conducted in order to obtain more in-depth information on the topic. The analysis of this information took place in the light of the conceptual work developed by teacher José Francisco de Melo Neto, especially with the concept of useful social work. The hypothesis initially raised and later confirmed rested on the idea that the process for the construction of the Fair valued horizontal relations between the participating subjects, as they contained aspects of intentionality, knowledge exchange, started from concrete realities and sought social transformations together with the communities.

There is rituality in any aspect of the human life. This refers to the organization and selection of actions, spaces, people, that are understood as following processes for a certain event. In the religious space, the ritual occupies a prominent place, because of its educational, doctrinal character and its transcendental nature. The “louvação de Oyá” is a ritual proper of the one Afro-Brazilian Religion called Nação Xambá. The history of this religion is closely linked to the coronation of “Orixá” Oyá Dupé by Maria de Oyá - the first priestess of the religious community Xambá. This coronation takes place at middday on December 13, 1932 by Mister Artur Rozendo: religious leader called babalorixá in your religion. This ritual was perpetuated in this religious group, by the second priestess “Ialorixá” Mãe Biu for more than 43 years, becoming an example of resistance to ancestry. The first religious temple in this community called "terreiro" was closed for 12 years and its leader was killed after a religious persecution of police, leading to his death. This persecution of African religions sought to prohibit people from professing their religion during the 1930s.This monograph was the result of the ethnographic research of this ceremony of the “Louvação de Oiá” on December 13, 2018 in the Temple of the Nação Xambá which is located at 65 on Rua Severina Paraíso, neighborhood of the São Benedito - Olinda. It was used as a theoretical reference for this monograph Mariza Peirano and Vadir Pedde, seeking to apply Stanley Tambiah's Theory of Performance to the referred ritual.

This term paper aims to understand the importance of the 'race' category in the sociological explanations of social inequalities, for such, we present a historic of the 'race' debate in Brazil. We will point out the ideologies behind the concept of race in racists and anti-racists theories that were spread in the country on the nineteenth century, we will expose the imbrications between the aspects of race and class and analyze, through the example of Affirmative Actions of racial quotas for the ingress to higher education, how is the current debate of race relations in Brazil. We use the literature review of several authors considered of great importance for the national and international debate of ethnic-racial relations. We realize, at the end of the study, that even though some authors advocate overcoming the use of 'race' as a scientific concept, it remains a social marker and, thus, remains extremely important to understand our social reality.
