| dc.description.abstract | O artigo em questão investiga o surgimento e a consolidação da cena metal underground em Caruaru, em Pernambuco. A cidade se destaca no âmbito nacional como a capital do forró, mas que foi um berço para o surgimento de uma cultura alternativa. Tendo a década de 1980 como ponto de partida, e o emblemático show do Sepultura no ano de 1987, que impulsionou a abertura de lojas especializadas, fundação de bandas e locais de encontro para os headbangers da cidade. A pesquisa se deu principalmente em base documentais, análises de entrevistas e relatos e registros audiovisuais, revelando como personagens como Moisés Discos e Erivaldo da Metalmorphose, e bandas como a Storms, Nekrófago,Extreme Death e Psych Acid foram responsáveis por construir uma identidade contracultural no interior de Pernambuco. Foi possível compreender a formação dessa identidade através da indumentária produzida pelos membros como forma de se expressar. Com um mapeamento da cena, pode-se notar como o underground é um ambiente rico em cultura, solidamente estruturado e historicamente importante no cenário nacional e regional. | |
| dc.description.abstractx | This article investigates the emergence and consolidation of the underground metal scene in Caruaru, Pernambuco. The city stands out nationally as the capital of forró, but it was also a cradle for the emergence of an alternative culture. The starting point was the 1980s, and the emblematic show by Sepultura in 1987, which led to the opening of specialized stores, the founding of bands and meeting places for the city's headbangers. The research was mainly based on documents, analysis of interviews and reports and audiovisual records, revealing how figures such as Moisés Discos and Erivaldo from Metalmorphose, and bands such as Storms, Nekrófago, Extreme Death and Psych Acid, were responsible for building a countercultural identity in the interior of Pernambuco. It was possible to understand the formation of this identity through the clothing produced by the members as a way of expressing themselves. By mapping the scene, it can be seen that the underground is an environment rich in culture, solidly structured and historically important in the national and regional scenario. | |
