Vasos, cuias, panelas e potes: os grupos ceramistas Tupiguarani na Mata Atlântica, Ipojuca - Pernambuco

Abstract

The present work seeks, through the materials evidenced by the "Archaeological Salvage Program in the area of the Northeast Refinery - Abreu e Lima," to rescue the presence of the Tupiguarani groups in the history of the region that comprises the current municipality of Ipojuca in Pernambuco. Such archaeological traces belonging to the Tupiguarani Tradition demonstrate the cultural richness of the human groups that inhabited there in different periods, establishing important criteria for the discussion about the history of human occupation in the research area.
