| dc.description.abstract | Seguindo as perspectivas abordadas pela Nova História Política e a importância dos debates acerca do período em que vigorou a ditadura civil-militar no Brasil (1964 -1985), o presente artigo tem como objetivo historicizar, apontar as abordagens práticas e o modus operandi de um dos mecanismos de controle social e repressão durante o regime militar em Pernambuco, o Esquadrão da Morte1. Dessa forma, através das noções de controle social e análise de práticas discursivas à luz do teórico Michel Foucault e da abordagem do Estado-jardineiro de Bauman, a trajetória, as estratégias e alvos a serem atacados pelo esquadrão serão pontos principais da discussão. | dc.description.abstractx | Following the perspectives addressed by the New Political History and the importance of the debates about the period in which the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil (1964 -1985) was in force, this article aims to historicize, to point out the practical approaches and the modus operandi of a of the mechanisms of social control and repression during the military regime in Pernambuco, the Death Squad. Thus, through the notions of social control and analysis of discursive practices in the light of the theoretician Michel Foucault and the approach of Bauman's state-gardener, the trajectory, strategies and targets to be attacked by the squadron will be the main points of the discussion.
