Item Análise dos recalques diferenciais em um reservatório de água elevado localizado no CEASA-PE(2022-10-10) Augusto Filho, Ricardo; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; Silva, Jordlly Reydson de Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4382584044561547; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2300010878356438After inspections on a raised reservoir located in the Central Supply and Logistics of Pernambuco (CEASA-PE), structural pathologies were detected due to differential settlements, verified by topographic methods. The steps for the structural recovery of the superstructure were already in progress, requiring a solution for the stabilization of the settlements in order to prevent new pathologies or the collapse of the construction. This paper presents a case study of the problem cited, discussing the causes, effects and possible solutions, with the main focus on the analysis of settlement predictions and actual settlements, taking into account factors, economic, structural and usability. First a structural analysis of the first order was performed in order to estimate the load that each column is transmitting to the foundation, being separated between preliminary and through structural software. Knowing the acting loads, along with geological data from the terrain, calculations were made to determine the geotechnical load capacity in the foundation region using semi-empirical methods, and after that, analysis of settlement predictions using parameters obtained through back analysis, in order to compare the results to real settlement magnitudes measured by topographical methods. The present work has as its objective, the understanding about the methodology used at the analysis of settlements in elevated reservoirs, serving as study material to help the resolution of similar problems.Item Avaliação de segurança de barragem: análise geotécnica e classificação – estudo de caso de barragem de mineração(2022-10-14) Melo, Talyta Tuane Lima; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3483252806825350Dams are engineering works whose function is to dam up a region to contain or accumulate liquid substances or a mixture of solid and liquid loads. In the mining area, these structures receive tailings and/or sediments from mining activities. The collapse of a dam results in social, environmental, and economic impacts, in most cases irreversible, as occurred in the Fundão and Córrego do Feijão Dams, in Minas Gerais. For this reason, the evaluation of dam safety is indispensable, as it will enable timely preventive and corrective interventions, for the safety of the structure, the environment, and third parties in its area of influence. This work presents a case study of a mining dam, whose purpose is the evaluation of geotechnical safety and classification of the structure according to current legislation, based on the current conditions of the dam. To reach these objectives, information about the dam was acquired and the instrumentation, internal drainage system and downstream slope stability were analyzed. Finally, it was concluded that, during the period analyzed, the structure presented acceptable geotechnical conditions, in addition to satisfactory safety factors according to NBR 13.028/2017. Regarding classification, according to ANM Resolution nº 95/2022, the containment dike is classified in relation to the Risk Category (CRI) is Low and in relation to the Associated Potential Damage (PDA) is Medium.Item Empreendedorismo na engenharia civil: como montar sua própria empresa(2024-04-28) Silva, Dárlisson Oliveira; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; Pina, Euclides Apolinário Cabral de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2192310329330578; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2949295320837090The purpose of this work is to promote the basic knowledge necessary to undertake in the civil engineering sector. Through data collection, it has been identified that Brazil is not a country with favorable conditions for entrepreneurship. Therefore, those who wish to pursue this path must have sufficient knowledge to deal with this factor and the adversities that come with starting a business. To increase the chances of success, it is necessary to choose a niche market to operate in, as this way the company is more likely to become a reference in the industry and consequently attract more clients. To be able to operate, it is necessary to regularize the company through registration with the necessary authorities, obtain operating permits, and have qualified technical professionals, as well as comply with the current laws for the field of operation. Managing a company involves considering a high number of variables, so the use of tools that assist in this process is essential for the success of the enterprise. Having a well-elaborated business plan, for example, allows the company to have better control of the path it is taking. During the operation of the business, it is possible that it may face periods of recession in the industry, and the company must be prepared for such situations. Therefore, it is important to pre-prepare a crisis management plan to minimize damages. In addition, the company should constantly seek innovation, as remaining stagnant in a dynamic market is risky. Therefore, investing in creating an innovative culture is essential for the sustainability of the company in the market. To achieve success, it is crucial to have clarity in defining the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the company. Employees play a crucial role in this process. Finally, it is essential for the organization to properly manage its available human and financial resources to maximize its results.Item Estabilização de solo com cal em obra de esgotamento sanitário - Estudo de caso(2022-10-04) Lima, Jéssyca Diniz de; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; Moraes, Thalita Maria Ramos Pôrto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8440992663290211; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2377346669114089Linear works, such as the implementation of sanitary sewage collection networks, are characterized by the large movement of earth during their execution. Thus, the reuse of soil in the backfill stage is a practice to be performed, whenever the geotechnical characteristics of the excavated material allow its reuse. When this does not apply, the use of material from the deposit is carried out, which leads to an increase in expenses arising from the disposal of material, transport of the new input to the construction site and/or service front, its purchase cost, among other values involved in its logistics. Soil improvement with the use of lime emerges as a possible effective, economic and sustainable solution to this issue. The present article studies the incorporation of lime in the soil aiming at its stabilization for composition in the sub-base of the backfill of the trenches. The analyzed soil came from the excavation of the Sewage Collector Network (RCE) works of the Sanitary Sewage System (SES) of Cabo de Santo Agostinho. In this study, at first, the mechanical characteristics of the soil were analyzed through a simulation in which the incorporation of 1%, 2% and 3% of lime was carried out in samples collected in stretch 146 of Basin E1. After analyzing the results, an optimal percentage was defined in order to adopt it in the stabilization of the other CER stretches. For this, the soil- lime mixture was carried out using this optimal percentage in 3 samples from the construction site, where the soils that came from different sections were stored. It was verified that the normative mechanical properties were met, making it possible for the processed material to form the sub-base layer of the backfill. In addition to meeting the resistance of the soil, this improvement contributed to the reduction of costs in the work and working towards sustainability.Item Estudo comparativo entre técnicas de impermeabilização em talude do município de Jaboatão dos Guararapes/PE: lona plástica x gel polímero(2021-03-03) Santana, Bruna Candida de Lima; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0334928310277179Slopes are natural geological formations characterized mainly by large slopes over massifs of soil or rock. In this way, landslides in areas of occupied slopes usually occur in slopes of cut, embankments and natural slopes aggravated by the disordered occupation of buildings and human action. Therefore, it is necessary to increasingly expand the study of solutions for greater stabilization of embankments, thus mitigating the risk associated with the most vulnerable population and exposed to unsafe conditions of habitability. In order to carry out a qualitative study between the waterproofing techniques based on the application of plastic canvas and chemical product based on acrylic polymer gel on the slope of the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes / PE, by comparing aspects such as durability, environmental impact, maintenance, useful life of the structure, cost and stages of execution of the permeability improvement techniques was able to determine the technique of greatest acceptance by the local population and with the greatest benefit / cost.Item Mulheres no mercado da Engenharia Civil: uma revisão bibliográfica acerca dos fatores que promovem esta nova realidade(2021-12-09) Lima, Maria Gabriela Campos de; Borgatto, André Vinicius Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4203791139862449; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8875672142571858The space for women in the professional area that make up the Civil Engineering market has historically been reduced, this is a fact, since activities related to technology and engineering were socially demarcated as a predominantly masculine territory. However, some relevant changes took place in the economy, political, social and cultural which fostered the process of insertion and maintenance of female labor on the market. This article aims to present the historical context that justifies the current scenario of gender disparity in the Civil Engineering market and to address initiatives and factors arising from government agencies and society that promote the insertion of women in this area of activity. The methodology applied for the development of this work was bibliographical research in books, digital library, scientific articles and magazines. The research shows that there is a movement of growth in the percentages of participation both in academic centers and in professional practice, that there are laws that impose certain percentages of female labor in civil construction companies; tertiary sector initiatives have been active in training the workforce and universities, companies and society have promoted initiatives to promote greater diversity in Civil Engineering. Therefore, concluding that the movement occurs for a cultural evolution by society and not for the promotion of public politics.
