    The objective of this study is to analyze how school physical education can contribute to the mental health of students, in a comparison between the pharmacological treatment and the benefits of physical education, in the protection and / or rehabilitation of the psyche that suffered childhood traumas by developing mental disorders. The methodology used was a bibliographical review starting from works that deal with what is psychological trauma, what its consequences, the treatment of pharmacology and the benefits physical education in the recovery and / or health protection. In conclusion, we will evaluate the efficacy and efficacy of pharmacological treatments, physical exercises, their points of divergence or convergence regarding the protection and / or recovery of the psyche in response to psychological trauma.
