    A influência familiar na vida escolar dos (as) filhos (as): um estudo de caso em uma escola da rede municipal do Cabo de Santo Agostinho - PE

    As its main objective, this research was conducted to understand the influence exerted by families in the school life of children on the 1st grade of elementary school of the school network of Municipal do Cabo de Santo Agostinho-PE. Based on authors such as Nogueira (2005; 2006; 2015), Resende (2013), Andrade (2015), Silva (2015; 2017) and Santo (2013). Based on the methodology based on the content analysis of Junior et. Al (2010) we built nine categories of analysis for a universe of six families. We use the structured interview as the main research tool. The results showed that the main forms of influence exerted by families are: give incentives and examples; transfer from home to school and from school to home; take care for school materials; assist in school activities; participate in class meetings and school celebrations; talk to the teacher and school management. This work shows us the need to continue reflecting on the relationship between family and school and points out the need to better understand the role that each of these institutions play in the lives of the subjects. The active participation families in their children’s school routine, and the influence caused as a result of this participation, is a determining factor for the performance and development of the student throughout this period of time.
