It is based on 420 hours of practicalexperience in a specificsub-areaofveterinary medicine, with the aim of qualifyingstudents to performtheirduties by obtaining the title of veterinarian. In this sense, the main objective of this report is to demonstrate the main activitiesperformed by student Eliabe Lieda Da Silva, under the guidance and supervision of Professor Dr. Maria Betânia de Queiroz Rolim; Sanitarian Maria Eugênia Farias Gama; and Veterinarian and Technical Manager Samantha Lopes De Barros, respectively. Itssecondary objective is to evaluate the good agricultural practicesadopted on rural properties that supplymilk to the FACO Dairy Industry. The ESO tookplace from April 1 to June 19, 2024, distributed in the EnvironmentalSurveillance of the Sanitary District VI of Recife - PE and in the Indústria de Laticínios FACO LTDA of Ribeirão - PE. The internshipallowed the possibility of being in different areas, experiencingexperiences and acquiringtheoretical and practical knowledge in the area of public health and inspection of products of animal origin, fundamental for training in veterinary medicine.Item Levantamento sorológico de Leptospira spp. em cães (Canis familiaris) atendidos no Hospital Veterinário Universitário (HVU) da UFRPE, Pernambuco, Brasil(2024-07-12) Correia, Dhebora Silvério; Cavalcanti, Erika Fernanda Torres Samico Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5256493441853885; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0954918162437676Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Érika Fernanda Torres Samico Fernandes, the present work aims to report and discuss the activities developed during the Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), an essential subject for the completion of the Veterinary Medicine course at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE). During the period from April 1, 2024, to April 30, 2024, the internship was carried out at the UFRPE Infectious Diseases Laboratory, with an emphasis on microbiology, infectious diseases of bacterial etiology and a special focus on the study and laboratory diagnosis of leptospirosis. The experience also made it possible to write a scientific article focused on the serological survey of Leptospira spp. in dogs (Canis familiaris) treated at the Hospital Veterinário Universitário of UFRPE, located in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. Then, from May 15, 2024, to June 28, 2024, the internship continued at the Laboratory of Inspection and Technology of Milk and Derivatives at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), where it was possible to experience a routine focused on physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of milk and dairy products, in addition to research activities aimed at studying mastitis in ruminants, also aiming to promote technical assistance to the dairy industries and rural producers in the State of Bahia. The course load completed in the ESO discipline made it possible to combine theory with practice, expanding learning about laboratory practices applied to infectious diseases and the inspection of dairy products of animal origin, thus strengthening academic training with an emphasis on Preventive Veterinary Medicine, a professional area of great relevance in the context of One Health.Item Relatório do Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), realizado na Indústria de Laticínio Leta Ltda, município de Bom Conselho - PE, Brasil. Processamento e análises de requeijão cremoso(2022-06-01) Pimentel, Luisa Barreto; Rolim, Maria Betânia de Queiroz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5676854885081836; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5067787808813796The Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO in Portuguese) is the compulsory subject of the eleventh period of the bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), fundamental for the formation of the student. It is based on practical experience of 420 hours, in a specific area of veterinary medicine, whose focus is to make the student be able to perform his/her function, by acquiring the title of a veterinarian. In this sense, the leading objective of this report is to demonstrate the main activities carried out by the student Luísa Barreto Pimentel, under the guidance and supervision, respectively, of the professor Drª Maria Betânia de Queiroz Rolim and Ana Erundina de Luna Moraes Leite, veterinary doctor and technical responsibilities a secondary objective, to report on the processing and analysis of “requeijão cremoso”. From February 14 to May 5, 2022, the ESO took place at Dairy Products Industry Leta Ltda. The company is located at Avenida Projetada, 20 - Parque Industrial, in Bom Conselho - PE, a city in the Brazilian semi-arid region.
