(2022-06-20) Rodrigues, Aristóteles Nunes; Lira, Rafael Pereira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4601784121439123; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9826094019860413
This research aims to contribute in practice to the teaching and learning of astronomy and to provide basic education teachers with a reflection on their pedagogical practices in the face of the current way in which Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDICs) are advancing in teaching and learning processes. We developed an educational product in the form of computer simulation and lesson plan, using the digital tool Scratch. This work is based on one of the practical needs of astronomy teaching: the use of simulations to teach some abstract concept, and on concepts such as Virtual Learning Objects (OVA). This research is also supported by what the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) says about the use of TDICs in basic education. We explain some examples of possibilities for building simulations on astronomy and present the actions and commands needed to build the simulation of the educational product using Scratch. Reference academic works on the use of the Scratch digital tool in astronomy teaching were researched.

This work presents the possibilities of using software and applications in the teaching of Astronomy, with emphasis on technical and pedagogical information, which often do not reach the teacher. In order to provide the teacher with the opportunity to learn more about these digital tools and provide meaningful learning, the main objective of the study was to produce a didactic guide, as a pedagogical mediation instrument, containing software and applications to be used in the teaching of Astronomy. The research contemplated a qualitative approach. The universe of study involved a search on the internet, through published works, websites and app stores for mobile devices, through the definition of criteria, which made it possible to choose the applications to be included in the didactic guide. The official documents guiding the construction of school curricula were taken into account throughout the construction of the didactic guide. The applications chosen to compose the educational product were Daff Lua, Star Walk 2 and Stellarium. The analysis proposed an evaluation of the applications, presenting factors such as: type of device; operational system; license type; need for internet access; hardware usage and average rating. It was observed the potential of these digital resources for use in the teaching of Astronomy, at different levels of education, providing a more interactive, playful and facilitating learning environment.

Official documents such as the BNCC indicate the paths to be followed in basic education in our country, reinforcing the need for integrative activities that engage and motivate students, preparing them to live in such a complex world. The teaching of astronomy has been recommended by such documents given its potential, both for the fascination it causes in most people but also for its interdisciplinary and can be approached in any scientific discipline. Thus, in this research, a didactic sequence (SD) was analyzed that constitutes the educational product, with the objective of verifying its contribution to the teaching of the terrestrial magnetic field, using Terrell, which constitutes a historical experimental model of the Earth. To this end, we start by highlighting the relevance of astronomy teaching at BNCC, and how researchers refer to the use of didactic sequences within a differentiated teaching context. The application of SD with the students proved to be quite fruitful, contributing to the reduction of the abstraction of the concept of terrestrial magnetic field in a playful and pleasant way.

Astronomy teaching in most schools appears in a shy way, and usually the themes are approached when they are presented in textbooks. Therefore, this work had as main objective to analyze the contributions of an educational rocket workshop to promote scientific investigation, in the study of oblique launching with 1st year high school students. Thus, awakening the interest of young people in scientific investigation. The methodology used was based on a qualitative approach, using two questionnaires as data collection tools: one to collect the students' previous knowledge, and the other to verify their ideas after the experience of the activities. The procedures included an expository class to discuss the scientific concepts about oblique launching, a workshop to assemble and launch rockets, and a bibliographic research. The results showed that the Rocket Workshop allowed the students to understand the fundamental concepts of the oblique launch and awakened their interest in participating in the Brazilian Olympics of Astronomy and Astronautics (OBA) and the Brazilian Rocketry Show (MOBFOG).

The constellations instigate curiosity, especially when they are observed from the perspective of the set of legends and myths arising from their nomenclatures, which is why the Teaching of Astronomy directed to the school context becomes viable. In this sense, this research sought to present a proposal for the construction of a didactic-pedagogical material for students and teachers working in Basic Education, in the format of a script for the elaboration of comics, entitled: “The journey of Orion and the birth of the constellations”, using the language of Greco-Roman mythology to understand the origin of the constellations, with emphasis on those easily observed in the sky of Pernambuco and region. In this way, we sought to insert the abstract language of Greek and Roman myths for the origin of the constellations, in order to incorporate elements related to Astronomy in the conceptual structure of the students, based on the work developed with the use of comic books. Therefore, it is expected that the educational product, represented by the aforementioned script, involving the mythological characters, can offer theoretical and practical subsidies for teachers to develop relevant themes in the field of Astronomy Teaching, providing them with educational situations of creation in different ways of media, such as comic books, cartoons, theater and others.

(2022-06-08) Alencar, John Miranda; Cavalcante, Vinícius Albuquerque; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6354901727868389; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9143007203563032
In this research we approach the teaching of Astronomy with a focus on the Solar System and the colonization of the planet Mars. The research aims to analyse the application of an educational game with high school students from EREM Sizenando Silveira, two classes of the 1st year and two classes of the 2nd year were chosen for the application of the educational product. The theoretical framework was based on David Ausubel's meaningful learning and Lev Vygotsky's theories of teaching through games. For this, we divided the present work into 5 moments, in the first moment we applied a probing test, in the second moment we taught lectures using interactive teaching resources, in the third moment the students watched a documentary about space travel, in the fourth moment we applied the educational game that we developed and in the fifth and last moment we reapplied the diagnostic test with the purpose of discussing the results of deaths through the educational product. The educational product consists of a physical board game, adapted from the Monopoly game where throughout their journey students must rely on strategies and their knowledge of astronomy. From this work it was possible to verify that classes with the use of interactive software allow the student to better interact with the content and develop a critical sense about the difficulties of a space colonization, in addition the use of didactic games is a method capable of encouraging students through topics related to the teaching of astronomy and other related areas.

Information and Communication Technologies allow quick access to a large number of information, however the amount and ease of obtaining information do not imply constructed knowledge. Based on this premise, there are some didactic strategies that aim to guide students to use technological resources, such as the internet, in the learning process, including FlexQuest. In this sense, the present study aimed to produce a FlexQuest aimed at teaching astrobiology based on the principle of the Theory of Meaningful Learning. The intervention was divided into two meetings, totaling 4 hours/class. The research was applied at ECITE Luiz Gonzaga Burity, in the municipality of Ingá, State of Paraíba, for 2nd grade high school students. The result of the FlexQuest application developed was carried out in the light of the analysis of pre- and post-test questionnaires, to categorize students' knowledge and map possible changes in their learning. By analyzing the questionnaires, it can be inferred that the proposal developed provided the students with a better performance. In this way, FlexQuest was a didactic resource that contributed to the construction of knowledge in Basic Education students through potentially significant learning.
