In 2015, the Jeep Automotive Complex began operations in Goiana, in the northern Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, the brand's first plant outside the United States and Fiat Group's second in Brazil. The expansion project for Brazil is part of a series of investments aimed at the consumer car market in Latin America, following the merger between the Fiat Automobiles and Chrysler Groups. The presence of the automaker in a territory that, until then, had a strongly agricultural society arouses curiosity, especially considering the absence of an automotive industry in Pernambuco. In this way, the present work proposes to analyze the process of implantation of Jeep in Goiana, especially the production relations established between the assembler and its systemists, which together integrate and form the Pernambuco's Automotive Pole.
