The object of this work is BIM - Building Information Modeling, which refers to a methodology used in the elaboration of civil construction projects. BIM emerged in the mid-1980s and, due to its significant contributions, has expanded to civil construction projects. The aim, through this research, is to present the advantages obtained in the use of the BIM methodology regarding the elaboration of projects for building installations, with a focus on electrical and hydrosanitary projects. Although BIM can be used in different software such as MS Project, Navisworks and Archicad, this work will focus on demonstrating the benefits provided by BIM through the use of Autodesk Revit software. At the end, the benefits provided by BIM through Autodesk Revit software will be highlighted, so that it will be possible to observe BIM not only as a useful model, but also essential from an interoperable and economic point of view in the civil construction industry.

Among the industrial applications of refrigeration, the food sector can be highlighted. Using concepts of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, refrigeration and project management, this work deals with the sizing of a cold room for freezing 5 T/day of fish and cooling 3 T/day of fresh produce. The work started with the definition of the project premises, followed by the collection of storage parameters for each product as instructed by the responsible agencies. From there, the thermal load of the cold room was calculated. The sizing was performed following the methodology of the ASHRAE refrigeration manual. A computational code was developed using the EES (Engineering Equation Solver) platform. Values of 5.26 TR, 7.27 TR and 86.59 TR were obtained for the tomato, carrot, and fish chambers, respectively. The fruit and vegetable chambers were dimensioned at 62.40 m3 in volume each, while the fish chamber was at 112.86 m3 in volume. Thus, two condensing units were selected for the fruit and vegetable chambers, with capacities of 6.13 TR and 7.60 TR respectively, and eight units for the fish chamber with a capacity of 10.82 TR. The project costs were estimated at just over R$ 500.000, which includes: equipment, freight and installation costs.

The new industrial configurations in the most diverse fields of activity generate an extremely competitive environment, with difficult market scalability and increasing levels of demand from all parties involved in the execution of projects. Based on this statement, the search for new techniques to manage processes and projects gains particular relevance. The aim of the work presented here is to study the applicability of agile project management frameworks in the scope of civil construction by searching for possible increment factors agile project management in this specific branch of industry. Significant differences were identified between both industrial axes, especially in the management of the scope of the projects and in the preparation of their budgets. It was concluded that the applicability of agile management methodologies in civil engineering corporations, due to the very traits of this field of activity, is quite challenging. However, the set of values and approaches derived from such frameworks is highly recommended.
