    Simulação numérica de uma prótese transtibial do tipo flex para corrida

    Prostheses play an essential role in the recovery of autonomy in amputees, allowing the practice of physical exercises essential for physical and mental health. This study analyzed the structural behavior and blade optimization of a flex-type transtibial prosthesis, considering the biomechanics of human gait and the reaction forces of the ground during running. The methodology adopted involved the three-dimensional modeling of the prosthesis, the structural analysis through the finite element method and the optimization through a correlation analysis of dimensional parameters to minimize the stresses on the prosthesis. The results showed that the maximum equivalent stress in the model optimized by the applied methodology showed a reduction of 24.73% in relation to the reference model. The methodology presented allows the construction of prostheses with geometric constraints that simultaneously minimize engineering requirements.
