Item A pluriatividade nas atividades econômicas do Sítio Bom Sucesso, Serra Talhada-PE(2019) Silva, Kelly Cristina Lima; Souza, Eder Leão de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4434499456331867; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1957054471368523This work aims to verify how family farming opens space for pluriactivity to manifest in the economic activities of Sítio BomSucesso, located in Serra Talhadacity, Pernambuco. For this purpose, we have based on the statistical data of the Atlas Brazil (2013), adopted as theoretical basis the discussions on pluriactivity and family agriculture proposed by Veiga (1996), Schneider (2003), Shneider and Conterato (2006) and Wanderley ).We also discuss the reasons and consequences of the rural exodus for young workers and the community according to Novaes (2009), Cover (2011), Cordeiro, Silva and Nunes (2016).According to this theoretical basis, we adopted a questionnaire to obtain the results referring to the reality of the community. The analysis had as criteria the concepts of pluriactivity and family agriculture. We also highlight the understanding of the reflection on the relationship between work in the field and school dropout, revealing the importance of pluriactivity activities and public policies to encourage education. The corpus for the accomplishment of this study was obtained through a questionnaire applied to fifty-four residences of the community, revealing information about work, income, education, rural exodus and social reality. From the analysis of the results, we understand that the reduced income in family agriculture, mainly due to climatic conditions, encourages the residents to resort to non-agricultural activities the importance of promoting this relationship through public, academic and social investments.
