Item Ácido giberélico na conservação pós-colheita de frutos de umbuzeiro (Spondias tuberosa Arruda Câmara) em condição refrigerada(2019-07-09) Oliveira, Francisco Jardel Moreira de; Ataíde, Elma Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2422663252620574; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7543700066092948The umbuzeiro is a native species of Caatinga, it has as fruit the umbu, with great social and economic importance for the Northeastern region of Brazil. The umbu has great acceptance in the market for in natura consumption and of products such as popsicles, jellies and sweets, however, the absence of post-harvest technologies to preserve this fruit causes that much of the harvest is lost. An alternative to increasing the shelf life of umbu is the use of refrigeration associated with regulators such as gibberellic acid (GA3), which acts to reduce the rate of respiration and inhibit the synthesis of ethylene in post-harvest. In this sense, the objective of this study was to evaluate different concentrations of GA3 in the post-harvest conservation of umbu in refrigerated conditions, based on the attributes of fruit quality. The fruits were harvested manually at maturation stage " for once", immediately washed and sanitized in 2% (w/v) sodium hypochlorite solution, dried in ambient condition and selected for size, appearance and physical damage. Then, the following treatments were performed: T1: 0 mgL-1 (Witness), T2: 10 mgL-1 of GA3, T3: 20 mgL-1 of GA3 and T4: 30 mgL-1 of GA3. The fruits were immersed for 60 seconds, dried in ambient condition and conditioned in refrigerated condition. The experimental design was completely randomized, with plots subdivided in time, the plots consisted of the four concentrations of GA3 and the subplots for storage time (0, 5, 10 and 15 days), except for mass loss, with evaluation three days. Five replicates with 5 fruits were used for each subplot, totaling 100 fruits per plot. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and when significant, the Tukey test was applied at 5% for the concentrations of GA3 and the regression analysis to the subplots. The attributes of quality evaluated were: length, diameter and shape of the fruit; weight loss; weight and yield of pulp; fruit mass, bark and seed; yield of pulp and seed; soluble solids, titratable acidity; pH; ratio and technological index. The concentrations of gibberellic acid did not present significant interference with the physical attributes of umbuzeiro fruits in refrigerated conditions, except for pulp mass and pulp yield, which presented the best results for GA3 20 and 30 mgL-1 concentrations. The weight loss of the fruits did not differ from the control among the applied treatments, being the highest loss obtained in the concentration of 30 mgL-1 of GA3. The storage time was the factor of greater interference on the physical-chemical attributes, however, for the ratio, there is interference of GA3 concentrations up to the 10th day of storage. There is a need for further investigation regarding the use of GA3 in the post-harvest conservation of umbu, with test of other concentrations and immersion time in order to prove the efficiency of this regulator in the maintenance of post-harvest life of umbu in refrigerated condition.Item Caracterização fenológica e qualidade de frutos de umbuzeiro em clima semiárido do estado de Pernambuco(2019-07-10) Dores, Tamires Eduvirgem das; Ataíde, Elma Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2422663252620574; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5487942250380238Umbuzeiro (Spondias tuberosa Arruda Câmara) is a species belonging to the Anacardiaceae family, endemic to the Brazilian semiarid region, and there are no reports of its occurrence in other regions of the planet. The plant has great socio-environmental and economic importance for the Caatinga biome, as it survives very well the hostile conditions of the semiarid climate. However, studies with this fruit are scarce in all areas of research. Notably with regard to its phenological behavior and fruit quality, this study aimed to characterize the phenological stages and fruit quality of umbuzeiro in semiarid climate of the state of Pernambuco. The experiment was carried out with umbuzeiro culture, from November 2017 to April 2018, using three adult accessions, located in the Mata da Pimenteira State Park, Serra Talhada-PE. The physical and physicochemical characterization of the fruits was carried out at the Chemistry Laboratory of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco of the Serra Talhada Academic Unit. Data were obtained from INMET and evaluated using descriptive statistics, where each value represents the means and standard deviation for the variables studied per plant and the simple correlation between the duration of each phenological stage (in days) and each variable in the period. of the study. To evaluate the umbuzeiro phenology in the 2017/18 agricultural cycle, we evaluated the number of days from flowering to fruiting, followed by the number of days from fruiting to harvest. The curve and rate of fruit growth were also analyzed. For fruit quality assessments the following physical attributes were determined: Diameter (mm), length (mm), shape, mass (g) and fruit yield (%), pulp, rind and stone. For the physicochemical attributes it was determined: the soluble solids content (SS%) and technologist index. Under Pernambuco semi-arid conditions, the average number of days between fruit formation and harvest for the three evaluated accessions was approximately 129.3 days and the average period between floral anthesis and fruit formation was 3.5 days. . The curve representing umbus growth had sigmoidal behavior. Regarding quality attributes, access three presented the highest pulp yield (72.63% ± 2.46%), while access two presented the lowest value (65.56% ± 5%). , 62%). The average soluble solids content for fruits of the three accessions was 14.33%. There is potential for commercialization of fruits from the accesses of umbuzeiros studied in the fresh fruit market. Because it is a fruit tree that can be economically exploited and has a high production potential under semi-arid conditions, it is a great alternative to improve the income of family farmers who produce under rainfed conditions, justifying the need for greater attention to culture. Given this, it is understood that to have commercial exploitation of the culture of umbuzeiro, it is necessary to promote the conduction of more research, capable of generating information that reaches the target populationItem Cera de carnaúba e própolis na conservação pós-colheita de laranha 'CNPMF NATAL 112' em condição refrigerada(2019) Lisbôa, Antonio Marcos Gomes; Ataíde, Elma Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2422663252620574; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6688687878225762Brazil stands out as a major producer of orange, where the northeast region accounts for 10% of the national production. Consumption is increasing due to its nutritional and functional value, however, when the fruits are harvested, they have a shorter post harvest life. In view of the above, the objective of this study was to evaluate aqueous and alcoholic propolis and carnauba wax in the conservation of 'CNPMF Natal 112' orange stored in refrigerated condition. The study was conducted in the period from August to September 2018, in the Chemistry Laboratory of the academic unit of Serra Talhada, Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, Serra Talhada, PE. Fruits of orange variety 'CNPMF Natal 112' were grafted in Carnation (Citrus Limonia), obtained from the Citrus germplasm Bank of Embrapa Semiárido, located at the Experimental station of Bebedouro, Petrolina, PE. After harvesting, the fruits were transported to the chemistry laboratory of UFRPE/UAST, the washed, sanitized with sodiumhypochlorite (2.2 mg. L1 of active chlorine), selected and subsequently applied the treatments: carnaubawax (100%) and extracts of alcoholic and aqueouspropolis (30%) and the control (distilled water only), and stored in a refrigerated environment (12° C+-2). The experimental design was completely randomized, with splitplots in time, and the plots constituted by the products (carnauba wax 100%, alcohol ic and aqueousextract of propolis at 30%; and control) and the subplots were the evaluation days (0 to 30 days), the tree day interval. The variables evaluated were: fruit weight loss (g), average fruit mass (g), soluble solids, titratable acidity, vitamin C, maturation index and PH. It was observed that the use of the alcoholic propolis extract promoted lower mass loss of the orange 'CNPMF Natal 112', wich allows the fruit to become viable for a longer period. It was found that for the technological index, there was a linear increase in the averages according to the days after application of the treatments. The alcoholic propolis extract stands out because it promotes less mass loss, good maturation rate and balanced acidity, since the other characteristics were not affected by the use of the products. In this way it can be used in the quality conservation of the 'CNPMF Natal 112' orange.Item A cultura da videira e da mangueira cultivada na fazenda área nova nas condições do Vale do São Francisco(2019) Silva, Manuévely Creuza da; Ataíde, Elma Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2422663252620574; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2781474403877590About twenty (20) years ago, since graduating in agronomy, the owner of the company Mr. Newton Matsumoto had a purpose when completing the agronomy course at ESALQ, SP, intended to settle in a region to work in the field of fruit growing., becoming a promising agricultural frontier, with a view to improving the region, while also meeting internal and external demands with quality fruits. With this purpose in mind, and the potential for irrigated fruit growing in the sub-region of the São Francisco Valley, mainly due to favorable climatic conditions for the cultivation of various fruit trees. In view of the above, he moved from Paraná State his hometown to Vale São Francisco, Petrolina, PE, with the purpose of operating in this area and growing along with the region. Initially he acquired a seven-hectare property in Senador Nilo Coelho Project, Nucleus 09, in Petrolina-PE, after two years, his father moved to the region to assist him with the vineyards. In early 2001, with the help of his parent, Mr. Newton set up Fazenda Área Nova, with an area of 10 hectares in the Senador Nilo Coelho Nucleo10 Project, in Petrolina-PE. This farm employs about 150 permanent employees in the first semester and in the second semester a larger number of employees, considering that this property has 31 hectares of Palmer mango cultivar and 44.58 hectares of vine, being six grape varieties: Arra 12, Arra 15, Cotton Candy, Midnight, Sugar Crisp and Vitória, with production of approximately 25 tons of grapes per hectare. 80% of grape production is exported to countries such as England, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Chile, and serves the domestic market such as the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Goiás, among others. The Northeast and North regions stand out for having tropical fruit poles that have shown significant results in recent years, such as those located in the northeastern semiarid, especially in Juazeiro, Bahia and Petrolina, Pernambuco, located in the São Francisco Valley, besides the Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte, whose main fruits are mango, grape, banana and pineapple and also melon. Irrigated fruit farming is an economic activity of great expression in this city, making it stand out in the whole Northeast region, where grapes and mango are their main productions, besides the fruit growing pole, this region also stands out for its production. of wine and juices.
