Religion has alwaysbeen present in people’s lives, as well as it has always been a category present in social studies. In the contemporary world, the relationship with the divine is still in evidence in people's lives. We start from the premise that some people no longer connect with the religious discourse and practices of some traditional religions since they believe that those practices block some lifestyles and do not match with Christ's postulates. This study is a result of an ethnographic research realised in an agencyfrom the CDG, known as Estação Casa Forte -Casa Forte's Station -, located in the city of Recife, during the months of August and November of 2019. To analyze this case, we worked with the concept of religious belonging and disaffection, as well as the comprehension of a religious non-determination, along with the presence of a religiosity in the people's experiences who frequent the Casa Forte's Station. Based on this, this study indicates that the CDG it's a religious phenomenon insurgent of the existing complexity in the contemporary world.
