Item Confeitaria e saúde mental(2024-03-08) Oliveira, Lucicleide Eliete Pereira de; Siqueira, Amanda de Morais Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0925121801904264The word "confectionery" derives from the Latin verb "conficere," related to food preparation. Besides being an ancient practice, confectionery is recognized as a form of occupational therapy, with contemporary studies exploring its relationship with psychological well-being. Mental health, defined as emotional balance and the ability to cope with challenges, is influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. This work aims to describe the main emotional perceptions reported by the practice of confectionery and analyze personal accounts of the possible emotional effects on confectionery experiences at different production stages. The results of the research on confectionery and mental health, conducted with 103 individuals who answered questions about the psychological effects that making sweet preparations had on their mental health. The sample consisted of valid participants (n=78). The majority of participants (87.2%) reported feeling some positive effect. Participants highlighted several reasons for this, including learning and enjoyment in the product, moments of focus and concentration, therapy and artistic expression, stress relief and fulfillment, positive social effects, female empowerment, and other therapeutic reasons. 88.5% of participants reported an improvement in their mental health through confectionery, 89.4% indicate that this activity can be an effective form of creative therapy; 93.2% of stress and anxiety reduction, and 83.3% reported positive experiences sharing their creations with friends, family, or online communities. Despite the promising results of this research, further investigations are still needed to corroborate and deepen our understanding of the relationship between confectionery and mental health. Additional studies could explore different aspects of this connection, such as the long-term effects of confectionery practice on mental health, the effectiveness of specific confectionery interventions for treating psychological conditions, and the influence of contextual factors, such as the work or social environment, on individuals' experiences.Item Cultura, saúde e entretenimento: transtorno de personalidade antissocial nas histórias em quadrinho de terror(2024-03-06) Santos, Thalyta Raquel dos; Cardoso, Maria Grazia Cribari; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2450643941158970; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8371225928184514The article aims to study the concepts of health and disease, culture and entertainment within the scope of Social Sciences and their epistemological value when applied to anthropology with a certain level of complexity. Thus, the present study aboard a literature review, dealing comprehensively, with depression and describing important aspects of PPD such as prevention, intervention programs and how to support mothers who suffer from the disease. These elements were collected in bibliographic databases such as: SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), VHL (Virtual Health Library), Portal CAPES and Pubmed. They were selected through articles, scientific journals, dissertations and national and international theses published in the last 20 years, between 2000 and 2020. The authors are unanimous when they warn that mental health problems are increasingly causing morbidity and mortality all over the world. Here in Brazil, the average estimate is that 25% of the cases with symptoms of depression among mothers, occurs within 6 to 18 months of the baby's birth. Given this scenario, we emphasize the importance of addressing the theme of depression since this psychological impact is more common among women, increasing the risk of developing depressive conditions twice as high as among menItem Diagnóstico da saúde mental e bem-estar de estudantes do IFPE-Campus Recife sob influência do ensino de biologia(2019-12-03) Carvalho, Isabela Vieira de; Silva, Flávia Carolina Lins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547725170997480; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6131401598981466Many studies on the mental health of college students are conducted due to the overloaded system of education they are exposed to. This fact has sparked growing interest in possible relationships between academic experiences and mental health. In this context, the main objective of this research was to investigate the impacts caused on the mental health of Physical Education students at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) caused by emergency remote teaching ERE, as well as the facilitating and hindering aspects of the new method of teaching, the negative and positive impacts of remote classes associated with the learning process and the consequences caused to students' mental health. The research had a qualitative-quantitative approach and was constructed through bibliographic and exploratory research. Data were collected through a questionnaire administered online. The results obtained were a total of 36 responses and the participants were undergraduates who were between the fourth and eighth semester, deprioritized and graduated (completed). This research contributes to the investigation of the aspects and impacts of ERE that were relevant in the graduation of students from the Physical Education course at UFRPE. The results demonstrate a statistically significant negative impact on factors associated with mental health, academic achievement and the impacts of emergency remote teaching on academic experiences during the pandemic. Finally, the need for studies on the topic to be expanded seems clear, not only in relation to carrying out new searches in other virtual libraries, aiming to expand and enrich the results, with the aim of analyzing students' mental health knowledge post-pandemic through scientific productions, as well as field research to obtain a better understanding of the object of study in question. The present work aims to analyze if it’s possible to estabilish a direct relationship between the socialization made by the education with the increanse in the rate of psychic disorders of this population. Does the current educational model exert neuronal violence in young people? If so, in what ways this violence is exercised? And what are the consequences of this violence? To verify the truth of the thesis and answer these questions, a field research was made using questionnaires and interviews with students and former students with the purpose of collecting data to be analyzed and support a theoretical discussion capable of verifying this thesis. It is concluded that it’s possible to estabilish a relationship between education and the population’s psychic illness insofar as it internalizes values and routines that throws the individual in a life full of neuronal violences that contribute to the formation of psychic problems.Item Impacto dos dispositivos móveis na saúde mental: um estudo com estudantes do DC-UFRPE(2023-05-26) Santos, Jhon Sidney Josué dos; Araújo, Carlos Julian Menezes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3156174527107999; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1064436692019801The present study aimed to investigate the impact of mobile device use on the mental health of students in the Department of Computing at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (DC-UFRPE), with a focus on risks associated with intensity and form of use, such as mental health damage that can affect academic performance and social integration. We base our research on theories of human care; on socio-emotional education; on Brazilian higher education, based on the main authors: Ferreira (2021), Goleman (2010), Pires (2016), Cruz (2015), Caixeta (2011), like the official documents of the NCH, of the Pedagogy course and the Ministry of Education. It is a qualitativebased investigation, using the case study method, with data construction techniques that took place in three ways: (a) exploratory observation; (b) questionnaire and (c) semistructured interviews. The locus of investigation took place in the virtual space, where we had access to documentary material and to some data and contacts with part of the research interlocutors. Our research subjects were undergraduate students in Pedagogy at UFRPE; professors of the aforementioned degree and the former dean of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, at the time when the Human Care Nucleus was established at UFRPE. After the results, we came to some points of reflection: (a) the students participating in the research said they felt tired, mental exhaustion, stress and wanted a more careful university environment that is concerned with the emotional health of the academic community. At the same time, we have seen that, since 2018, when the NCH was created, UFRPE has made an effort to make the University a space for preventing psychic suffering and promoting mental health, considering your community.Item Recomendação de psicólogos por meio de algoritmos de filtragem colaborativa, conteúdo e híbrida(2023-09-14) Gomes Júnior, Augusto Rosário; Bocanegra, Silvana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4596111202208863There is a rising number of people diagnosed with mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety, disorders that have been long neglected by science and society. Even so, more and more advances are being made in the ways of treating these people, such as platforms that offer psychological care remotely. However, choosing a psychologist or therapist is not always an easy task, given the large amount of information involved in the choosing process. Based on that, the goal of this article was to develop a psychologist recommender system based on a hybrid model, which should be able to recommend psychologists with expertise that meet the needs of different types of patients. The model showed promising results, where the similarity between the recommended psychologists was consistent and good results were achieved in the evaluation metrics MAE (<0.5) and RMSE (<0.75). It was also possible to mitigate weaknesses from both content and collaborative recommendations. The work was divided into two chapters, with Chapter 1 describing the ESO location and the activities performed, while Chapter 2 is a literature review entitled “Interpersonal relationship between the Veterinarian in charge of technical matters and employees in a supermarket warehouse”. With the growth in demand for products of animal origin, both in wholesale and retail trade, whether for industrialized or “in natura” products, the importance of ensuring quality control at all stages of the production chain is increasingly recognized. To make this happen, supermarkets hire Veterinarians to assume the position of Technical Manager of the establishment, as this professional is the best suited to evaluate and decide whether products of animal origin are suitable for human consumption, ensuring food safety and public health. The objective of this report was to describe the activities developed in the quality department of a supermarket chain, based mainly on Good Manufacturing Practices. Hygiene and sanitary procedures must be applied to personal hygiene, the work environment, utensils, equipment, product handling and throughout the production chain, in order to avoid any contamination and ensure that the food is safe and does not cause harm to the health of the consumer. In this context, the veterinarian plays a crucial role in managing the employees of the establishments. In addition to their technical knowledge, they need to apply interpersonal skills to promote a good organizational environment, ensuring that the activities are carried out appropriately and effectively. This not only contributes to the safety and quality of the products, but also helps to increase sales and the success of the organization. It can therefore be concluded that mental health, interpersonal relationships, the organizational climate and people management in a company are crucial to the results achieved and the guarantee of safe food.Item A saúde mental como política de assistência estudantil: um estudo de caso na Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco(2020-07-24) Silva, Fernanda Enayde Teixeira da; Correia Neto, Jorge da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6369240444943934; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1999627469448192The aspects of welcoming students in the university environment have given rise to research related to the problems of social adaptation and mental health, which often unfold in his academic performance. In this sense, the Higher Education Institutions play a fundamental role in the adaptation and insertion of the student, when they provide the necessary conditions for their stay in the Institution. This research aimed to investigate the student assistance policy related to mental health, as well as the psychosocial difficulties faced by the students of a large northeastern university, the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE). As for the methodology, it is characterized as a descriptive study, based on documents. The results demonstrate that UFRPE has a student assistance policy focused on consolidated psychosocial care, but with difficulties in relation to the number of employees and the infrastructure of care, which ends up reflecting on clinical care, leaving issues of promotion and prevention compromised. As a suggestion, it is expected that the units dealing with the subject promote continuous efforts to qualify psychosocial care in a more effective way, constantly promoting policies that evidence a better quality of life and mental health of the students present.Item Saúde mental e início da vida acadêmica no ensino superior: um olhar sobre estudantes do curso de licenciatura em pedagogia da UFRPE(2021-03-05) França, Cibelle do Nascimento; Gama, Ywanoska Maria Santos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1398858336713229; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7159830181062740This study sought to understand what changes related to mental health are pointed out by students of the initial periods of the Degree Course in Pedagogy (face-to-face modality) at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE). The 19 participating students answered a questionnaire made available in the Google Forms platform, and disseminated through the social network used by the investigated course, personal and collective e-mail of the classes. The main results pointed to mood swings and disproportionate reactions to academic difficulties as recurring symptoms. Another relevant aspect raised is related to the family and friends network, acting as a protective system. These results point to the importance of deepening this theme, making it the object of reflection in universities, favoring the improvement of policies and services of psychological support to students, and a better dissemination of existing services, aiming at the prevention and promotion of mental health in the academic environment. The demand imposed by the globalized world has made the work environment more and more competitive, since the demands are more and more specific, demanding agility and dedication. The effort on the part of the worker to achieve successes in the established goals has led to an increase in the number of injuries. Given the above, the objective of this study was to address work-related mental disorders (WRMD) and their impacts on public management. This is a quantitative, exploratory-descriptive research, secondary data that aims to know the stressful and potentiating factors of WRMD, reported in the NAST Recife database in the months of January and February 2015 to 2019. The study population was workers notified away through sick leave or medical certificate ICD 10 F. 310 notifications were recorded in total, so that there were variations regarding gender, age, professional status, among others. A greater number of notifications were observed for the female gender, aged between 31 and 40 years. As for education, patients with complete higher education were the most reported. It drew attention to the low amount of notifications in general, which demands better training for the worker, to recognize their limitations and disorders and to combat this problem in a more evident way. The study carried out made it possible to identify that the WRMD is an invisible illness that creates burdens on the public administration, resulting from the work process, in which managers disregard the evidence presented by workers, who silently fall ill, requiring temporary leave or permanent, which may culminate in suicide. Disregard on the part of managers contributes to the underreporting of WRMD cases, masking official data. Therefore, it is up to the managers to train and sensitize their workers about the importance of carrying out the notification, as well as the correct completion of the form, where, in many cases, the responsible professional underestimates the importance of this item, leaving it blank.
