Most animals raised for milk production are sensitive to the high temperatures found in tropical areas, and the climate elements are often so intense that they cause an imbalance between the animal and the environment. The present study evaluated the phenotypic plasticity for dairy production in a Holstein herd in the region of São Bento do Una (PE), as well as evaluated the different genotypic composition of the animals for the HSP-70 gene, influences their climate adaptation and consequently milk production. With the help of the Pernambuco Agronomic Institute (PAI) - São Bento do Una Experimental Station it was possible to acquire 117,323 daily milk production data from 271 animals from 2008 to 2018. Information on daily rainfall from 2008 to 2014 were obtained on the website of the Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency (PWCA), the materials of solar radiation, relative humidity, average, maximum and minimum temperature, referring to the years 2008 to mid 2012, were purchased from Integrated Data Center (IDC) from the National Institute for Space Research (NISR) and climate data from the end of the year 2012 to 2014 were received by IPA Experimental Station of São Bento do Una. Molecular genetics analyzes were obtained from Maria das Dores Silva Araújo's master's thesis, entitled “Genetic diversity and association of the heat shock gene (HSP-70) with the productive performance in dairy cows in the semiarid”. The study was conducted on the basis of ITU, as they better indicate the quality of the animals' thermal comfort than simply the climatic variables alone. After the acquisition and correction of data related to milk production, climatic variables, HSP-70 gene polymorphisms and ITU was created a single database with 24,196 observations of six polymorphisms. Correlation, variance, regression and descriptive analyzes, performed with the information present in the database, were performed with the aid of SAS version 9.4 software. By evaluating the HSP-70 gene, the phenotypic plasticity for milk production in the Dutch herd was confirmed, and the influence of different animal genotypic compositions for the same gene. Through the collected data, the G polymorphism was the one with the highest productive average and the lowest average productivity loss under thermal stress conditions, and can be used as a basis for the improvement of animals for tropical region.Item Características de diferentes propriedades localizadas na bacia leiteira do cariri paraibano.(2022-10-06) Pereira, Jailson de Souza; Cabral, Ana Maria Duarte; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9120227816308243A bovinocultura leiteira tem uma grande importância socioeconômica para o Brasil, uma vez que é praticada em todas as regiões do país, e por diferentes classes sociais, gerando empregos diretos e indiretos. Muito presente na região semiárida do Cariri paraibano, essa cultura é praticada por diversos produtores de diferentes realidades. Porém a condição de semiárido faz com que, mesmo nessas diferentes realidades, haja situações que afetam tanto os grandes quanto os pequenos produtores, como a necessidade de produção de alimento para a época seca, a dificuldade de mão de obra qualificada, assim como o despreparo para a gestão das propriedades por parte dos produtores. Desta forma, objetivou-se com este trabalho fazer uma caracterização do perfil técnico, econômico e social de propriedades leiteiras do Cariri paraibano. Assim, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva do tipo survey (método de investigação quantitativa para coletar dados e opiniões de grupos de indivíduos representativos de uma população), por meio da aplicação de um questionário semiestruturado que foi aplicado em doze propriedades localizadas nos municípios de Barra de Santana-PB, Boqueirão-PB, Campina GrandePB, Caturité-PB, Gado Bravo-PB e Queimadas-PB. Para a aplicação dos questionários foi utilizado um aplicativo para smartphone, o Easy Research, com perguntas que buscaram esclarecer a situação socioeconômica e condições de produção das propriedades dessa região. Após as análises dos dados coletados através dos questionários foi possível evidenciar que as propriedades, mesmo realizando algumas práticas zootécnicas essenciais como a produção de forragem para a confecção de silagem e o plantio de palma forrageira para consumo dos animais, ainda apresentam deficiências em relação a registro e controle de dados zootécnicos e na gestão financeira das propriedades. Dessa forma, observa-se a extrema importância da necessidade de conhecimento e conscientização dos produtores em relação a esses pontos fundamentais para o melhor andamento das propriedades se tornarem mais organizadas e produtivas, e melhorar as condições de vida das pessoas envolvidas com essa atividade nessa região.Item Indicadores reprodutivos: importância e fatores que interferem sua utilização em rebanhos leiteiros do Nordeste(2019-12-13) Cavalcanti Filho, Claudio Rangel; Silva, Dulciene Karla de Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4817514858275379; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1781672578345378Item Manejo de bovinos leiteiros nas fazendas Bodopitá e Campo de Boi localizadas no Cariri paraibano(2022-09-28) Pereira, Jailson de Souza; Cabral, Ana Maria Duarte; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9120227816308243Durante o período de 27 de junho a 13 de setembro de 2022 na Fazenda Bodopitá no município de Caturité-PB foi realizado o estágio supervisionado obrigatório -ESO para conclusão do curso de bacharelado em zootecnia, por meio do acompanhamento das atividades no sistema produtivo de bovinocultura leiteira, desde os afazeres no bezerreiro incluindo o recebimento dos animais seu desenvolvimento durante as fases de cria e recria até o manejo alimentar de todos os animais, conservação de forragem por meio do processo de ensilagem, manejo sanitário envolvendo a desinfecção das instalações a vermifugação e vacinação dos animais, além do manejo reprodutivo com protocolo de sincronização de cio e inseminação artificial, manejo das vacas no período de ordenha e testes de qualidade do leite, e todo esse processo foi avaliado e supervisionado pelo zootecnista que atualmente está na propriedade, participando do programa de agroresidência da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco UFRPE Lucas Santos da Silva e orientado pela Professora da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco Unidade Acadêmica de Serra talhada, Dra. Ana Maria Duarte Cabral. Durante o período de estágio foi possível ainda realizar algumas atividades fora dos afazeres da fazenda, como o acompanhamento do recebimento e análise do leite recebido no laticínio próximo a fazenda Bodopitá, visita a propriedades acompanhadas pelo projeto de residência agropecuária da UFRPE e participação na exposição de caprinos e ovinos da cidade de Queimadas -PB. The study aims to analyze the milk quality indicators that may be influenced by the management of milking under adequate and hygienic conditions, as well as other influential factors. Individual milk samples were collected, subjected to analysis, followed by evaluation based on the current legislation, MAPA standards No. 76 and 77. The losses caused by subclinical mastitis are significant, mainly due to the reduction in the production of the quarters, in addition there is a reduction in milk quality, interfering in the characteristics of this, important for the dairy products industry. Staphylococcus aureus is the main causative agent of this disease, being an important pathogen, also responsible for food poisoning. Foods involved in outbreaks and cases of staphylococcal food poisoning include raw milk, pasteurized milk and cheeses, with S. aureus being the most frequently isolated microorganism. Milk from cows with mastitis is the second food of animal origin in which there is greater percentage of isolation of Staphylococcus aureus Resistant Methicillin. Producers' awareness is extremely important to reduce the impacts caused by this disease, since, from the knowledge, measures can be taken to prevent and control the disease in the herds and consequently to produce a quality product, preventing it from causing problems. In view of this, this paper aims to elaborate a literature review on subclinical mastitis caused by S. aureus and its economic and public health impacts in order to support the preparation of didactic material for informative purposes for rural producers.Item Palma forrageira, o alimento mais importante para vacas leiteiras no semiárido pernambucano: manual prático(2022-10-06) Souza, José Felipe Borges de; Ferreira, Marcelo de Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4818123702136736; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4011173965144301The dairy basin of Pernambuco is distributed throughout its territory, however with a larger concentration in the Agreste region. Evaluations of production systems in this region indicate that milk production becomes efficient over the years, can improve several aspects, among them one of the most important would be the increase in land productivity. This would only be possible, mainly due to the size of the properties, with the implementation of forages with high productivity. In this context, forage palm became a key strategic forage due to its production potential and nutritional value. The objective was to develop a practical manual for the use of forage palm in the diet of dairy cows and to offer the field technician and the producer a material with options to associate it with a range of ingredients normally used in the most practical way possible. From there, 48 diets were formulated, based on forage palm, for cows with different weights (400, 450, 500, 550, and 600 kg) also different milk yields (10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 kg of milk/day). Data were presented on a dry matter basis. It is expected that the material produced can reach the hands of technicians and producers to guide them in choosing the best options according to the characteristics of the production system, availability, and price of ingredients.Item Plasticidade fenotípica e respostas comportamentais de novilhas Girolando em pastejo contínuo no semiárido pernambucano(2023-09-11) Bezerra, Ingrid do Nascimento; Almeida, Gledson Luiz Pontes de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2328849810614673; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4518487877353767The indicators of thermal stress for ruminants are described according to the magnitude of the meteorological elements, physiological, behavioral adjustments, and productive response. This research was conducted to evaluate the ingestive behavior and phenotypic plasticity of Girolando heifers subjected to continuous grazing in the semiarid of Pernambuco. Three heifers of 7/8 Dutch-Gir genetic composition were evaluated, submitted to a paddock with 40 x 40 m brachiaria, for 21 days. The meteorological variables recorded in the production environment were the dry, bulb temperature (°C) and the relative humidity of the air (%), which allowed the thermal characterization through the temperature and humidity index (TM). The behavior of heifers was quantified through observation by instantaneous scanning of activities, walking, drinking, eating, ruminating, lying down, leisure and standing. The physiological responses recorded were rectal temperature (°C) and respiratory rate (movement mia-1). The experimental design was completely randomized in a 2 x 3 factorial arrangement (shifts x evaluation period). Behavioral variables were subjected to te chi-square and probability test. The physiological parameters were subjected to analysis of variance and application of the Tukey test at the level of 5% significance. The THI did not exceed 89 units, which characterizes the critical limit of moderate stress for the animals. The heifers proved to be adapted to the climate of the region, as, during the study period, they showed sufficient physiological and behavioral alteration capacity to maintain homoeothermic.Item Proposta de um sistema de produção de leite com dietas à base de palma forrageira(2023-09-11) Melo, Gabriela Correia da Silva; Ferreira, Marcelo de Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4818123702136736Agreste de Pernambuco is home to the state's main dairy basin, accounting for approximately 75% of production. Due to the edaphoclimatic characteristics of the region (Semi-arid), characterized by low rainfall and high temperatures, challenges related to forage production must be faced in order to sustain dairy production systems in the region. Thus, the implementation of high-yielding roughage can be achieved through appropriate agricultural practices, the use of technologies, the selection of varieties adapted to the region's climate and the adoption of good management practices. In this way, fodder palm has been a valuable option for livestock farming in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, contributing to animal food security during periods of drought and offering a sustainable alternative for feeding livestock in the semi-arid region. The aim was to develop a milk production system with palm-based diets, based on the identification in the literature of the main reference indicators to be improved in order to increase the sustainability of dairy farming in Pernambuco. After identifying them and based on zootechnical indices considered achievable, a stabilized herd was idealized and diets based on fodder palm were calculated to meet the needs of this herd. Subsequently, the reference indices were recalculated and showed a significant improvement, indicating that palm can be an extremely important strategy for daisy fanning in the state.Item Refinando a avaliação bioclimática do estado de Pernambuco para a criação de vacas leiteiras(2021) Oliveira, Gabriela Mayara Pereira; Silva, Thieres George Freire da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0213450385240546; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6833841784894704The Brazilian Northeast has shown significant growth in dairy cattle, which has contributed to the improvement of the economy. In this context, the objective was to improve the bioclimatic assessment of the state of Pernambuco for the creation of dairy cows through the application of bioclimatic risk, and multivariate statistics. Meteorological data from 13 to 20 years from 14 municipalities in the state of Pernambuco were used. From the meteorological data, bioclimatic indices were generated, such as ITU, DPL, RCA, TGN, ITGU, and CTR, as well as the bioclimatic risks for levels 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 kg of animal milk-1 day-1 . A principal component analysis was carried out with bioclimatic indices and animal performance to verify the capacity and the discriminative relationship of the variables in each season of the year. The four principal components were responsible for explaining 85.70% (summer), 88.75% (autumn), 93.06% (winter), and 85.70 (spring) of the total variation of the data sets.
