This research aimed to investigate how the data regarding "Health", "Education" and "Employment & Income", arranged by the Pernambuco State Database and the FIRJAN System, portray the basic needs of the citizens of Vitória de Santo Antão-PE in the period from 2013 to 2016. This study finds research bases in descriptive research. The data were obtained in a secondary way in the Pernambuco State Database and the FIRJAN System. Data analysis was based on thematic categories. The results indicate that there is a misstep or failure in the municipal government actions adopted for the dimensions Education and Employment & Income. With this research it is concluded that the social indicator of the dimension "Health" portrays adequate care to the population of Vitória de Santo Antão-PE, however, the dimensions of "Education" and "Employment & Income", deserve attention regarding the resizing or new proposals of public policies with a view to increasing these indexes and, thus, meeting efficiently and effectively, the basic needs of Victorian society and thus effecting local development.Item Ínidce de desenvolvimento da educação básica: como Pernambuco se tornou o melhor do Brasil?(2019) Rocha, Múcio Arruda; Correia Neto, Jorge da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6369240444943934
