    A concordância verbal em textos escritos por estudantes de Garanhuns - PE: uma análise sociolinguística

    This essay (work) presente an study about the variation of the verbak agrément of the language in its actual use of students from Garanhuns’ city – PE. To perform this research, we use as theoretcical-methodological basics the Variacionista Sociolinguistics that has its originator William Labov (2008), who considers the language in its social contexto, we have also used previously utlized surveys about the phenomenon studied as the one of Moura (2007), Rodrigues (1987), Vieira (1994) among others. Based of this assumphtion that the verbal agrément of Braszilian Portuguese is a variable rule, in which ther is a prestigie variant and a discredited variant in competition between ther we look for not only verify this variantion but also identify the linguistic and socao factors that are influencing and conditioning this variation in the formal writing. The use of the variants was analysed according to the linguistic and socials factors already postulated by others scholars. Among the linguistic factors we selected the ver type (state and action) and position of the verb in relation to the subject. The extralinguistic factors analysed were: the sex and the education level of the students. Based on the Labovain methodology, we collected data, set up the research corpus constituted by thirty texys produced by students from the 6th and 9th grades of elementary school and grade 12 of high school and alayzed them. The quantification of the data was done through the tabulation and allowed us reach to the following results: there is absence of the verbal agrément in the writing langauge of the informations in general of (14,15%) appointed mainly among the students of higher education (garde 12), as well as the male is the one that most presentes a non-standard form. We verify the two linguistic factors that also act as conditioners of variant. Therefore it was seen that the school influences the students to employ the langauge in its stantard norm, softerning the use of variations as non-standard.

    O comportamento das construções passivas em textos jornalísticos publicados no português de Angola do século XXI

    Na presente pesquisa, dediquei-me a investigar as construções passivas no Português de Angola, doravante PA, analisando suas escolhas sociopolíticas e os fatores que influenciam seu uso. Utilizando-me dos estudos da Teoria de Princípios e Parâmetros (CHOMSKY, 1981 e seguintes) e analisando como as interferências linguísticas e culturais, decorrentes do período colonial, moldaram essa variedade do português, foquei nas construções passivas, analíticas e impessoais, utilizando dados extraídos de 16 edições de jornais angolanos da primeira metade do século XXI. Com este trabalho, pioneiro na universidade onde está sendo realizado, busquei evidenciar a complexidade e a riqueza do PA, compreendendo-o como um sistema linguístico em constante evolução, moldado por interações históricas, culturais e sociais únicas. Acredito que minha contribuição fortalece uma visão mais inclusiva das dinâmicas do português em contextos lusófonos e valoriza a diversidade linguística resultante desses contatos.

    O tratamento da variação linguística na Base Nacional Comum Curricular

    O ensino de língua materna esteve por muito tempo centrado no mito de que no Brasil só se fala uma única língua, com isso, a escola acabava desconsiderando as variedades linguísticas que fazem parte da realidade social. Contudo, desde a publicação dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (BRASIL, 1997), as orientações oficiais recomendam o reconhecimento e respeito às variedades não padrão existentes no país, princípio que é confirmado no texto da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BRASIL, 2017). Neste trabalho, realizaremos análise documental de natureza qualitativa e base interpretativista, usando como corpus de pesquisa a versão homologada da BNCC, tendo como objetivo central analisar o tratamento dispensado ao fenômeno da variação linguística em todos os eixos de ensino do componente língua portuguesa no ensino fundamental II (6º ao 9º ano). Para tanto, o trabalho se fundamenta em aportes da Sociolinguística Educacional, através de autores como, Bagno (2003, 2006, 2007) e Coelho et al (2015). Nossos resultados apontam para o fato de que há referências à variação tanto entre as competências do componente língua portuguesa quanto em habilidades de todos os eixos, entretanto, é apenas no eixo de Análise Linguística/Semiótica que a variação linguística figura como um conteúdo a ser abordado, porém de maneira pouco aprofundada.

    A variação entre nós/a gente em textos de livros didáticos do ensino fundamental e médio de língua portuguesa na cidade de Triunfo-PE

    Positioning within a vision of the language in use, this work aims to make a comparative qualitative and quantitative analysis of the frequency in which the personal pronoun WE change for THE PEOPLE in textbooks of Portuguese language elementary school and high school. The study proceeds by the fact that we believe that the variation between the personal pronouns WE / PEOPLE, although it presents greater occurrences in the spoken language, is also presented in the written language, where by the way it is found in textbooks, for example is the object of study of this work. We present in this research theoretical considerations of the following authors: Rebouças e Costa (2014); Labov (2008); Weinreich, Herzog and Labov (1968); Vitório (2017) and Bagno (2007), which substantiate this work. We can define our approach as quantitative, although we open brief qualitative discussions from data collection. We have investigated our goal from 44 texts in the 3rd grade book and 12 texts in the 9th grade book. We emphasize that only the texts where the variation was found were worked on in depth. In the end, our results show that the textual gender factor that covers the language in use and the age group for which the books were intended are highly relevant to the results obtained in the research.

    A variação no uso das preposições A, EM e PARA com verbos do tipo IR e CHEGAR: um estudo de dados de fala do sertão pernambucano

    The present work has the main objective to investigate the use of prepositions in and out of IR-type movement verbs and to arrive in the language spoken in the pernambucan hinterland, in order to provide a descriptive-explanatory framework on the use and variation of these items in the analyzed communities, under the theoretical-methodological perspective of Theory of Linguistic Variation (LABOV, 1972) and the generalized theory of thematic roles. We analyze, therefore, contexts of variation between the prepositions a, in and for, in order to verify how the dynamics of the variation occurs and what factors could favor the use of one preposition to the detriment of another. For that, a corpus was analyzed with speech data from informants from the cities of Afogados da Ingazeira, Triunfo and Serra Talhada, all located in the hinterlands of Pernambuco. This paper presents a description of a panorama in which it becomes perceptible how variable the use of the prepositions in question is. For this, a total of 136 occurrences of the prepositions were selected in contexts where the linguistic variation between these prepositions is possible. The analysis of the data was made considering the following dependent linguistic variables: nature of the subject (+ animated) and [-animated]; verbal type: GO and GET; (Locative and Meta) and the semantic features of SP that were classified as [+permanent] and [-permanent] and [+defined] and [-defined]; was also considered the variable extralinguistic schooling (fundamental, middle and higher level). Considering these factors (dependent and independent), the GOLDVARB-X computer program was used to quantitatively analyze data that point to the fact that the preposition is more recurrent in speech contexts, as well as (+defined) andMeta [-defined] are determinants for the process of linguistic variation between the prepositions A, EM and PARA in the hinterlands of Pernambuco. The analysis was developed based on theoretical assumptions and methodological addressed by Labov (1972), Cançado (2003), Cançado (2016) Tarallo (1986), Farias (2005), Ribeiro (1996) and Ramos (1989).
