Item Uma abordagem sobre eventos da astronomia em Pernambuco: uma proposta de sequência didática para o ensino médio(2022-06-21) Oliveira, Cirano Lopes de; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; Silva, Ana Paula Teixeira Bruno; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7567099861370352; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7450361249159691This work presents an educational product, whose main objective is to propose a didactic sequence, in script format, as a pedagogical mediation instrument, based on themes of events related to Astronomy, which took place in the state of Pernambuco. The methodology adopted included a qualitative approach, of the bibliographic type, carried out in books, sites on the world wide web and scientific articles, which dealt with historical facts and astronomical events, such as: the Dutch occupation in the state of Pernambuco; the discovery of comet Olinda; the observation of the Transit of Venus and the falls of meteors that occurred in the municipalities of Serra do Magé, Vicência and Santa Filomena, in Pernambuco. Thus, we propose a didactic sequence, considering the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), in the area of Natural Sciences and its Technologies, focusing on the development of skills and abilities. We hope that the educational product can contribute to the learning of historical facts and concepts of astronomical events, enabling a better understanding of historical events and astronomy, contributing to the construction of scientific knowledge.Item Análise financeira entre comprar, montar ou fazer um telescópio(2022-07-07) Donato, Felipe José Virgínio; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101This work proposes a financial analysis among the existing possibilities to acquire a telescope and has as purpose to assist teachers, schools, astronomy clubs, amateur astronomers, beginners in astronomy, everyone who wishes to have one. A brief history of how the reflector telescope appeared in astronomy shows the advantages over the refractor scope and that other designs were projected by astronomers and mathematicians before Newton get to build the first reflector example. It was also raised how optical instruments are useful in a variety of educational activities in and outside school, providing most of the times the experience of observing through a telescope for the first time ever. In this research three scenarios were analyzed: buy a telescope, assemble or make one – which differs from assemble by manufacturing most of components. The data of values of the telescopes and of its components were collected in popular astronomy sites and others general e-commerces. To manufacture some parts such as the focuser and mirror support, for example, it is basically used PVC material, wood, screws and nuts, which were budgeted in a local warehouse. Fortunately, it has a simple mechanics which allow an amateur construction get a really close image quality from a factory made one. However, there are glass made parts too complicated to make, such as the mirrors and oculars. Manufacture them requests a specific machinery for the various steps of glass treatment, and also ability to make them perfect in all their aspects, once a good image is the result of accurate measurements of light-conducting components. For this reason, it was researched the costs to buy the mirrors and oculars to compose all the scenarios. After collecting all data, set up the scenarios were compared, making a telescope proved to be the cheapest way to acquire one.Item AstroGestor, um aplicativo checklist(2022-06-15) Costa, José Iago Matheus Barbosa; Coutinho, Nicolle Cabral; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; Leão, Renata Sá Carneiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9253144963508579; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8777428923521869; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4536582058890010Study Astronomy is an interdisciplinary task, which involves several areas of science. During the stages of Basic Education, contact with this discipline can arouse interest in young people for professional careers related to Science and Technology. Despite its importance, the teaching of astronomy in schools is still deficient, either due to the lack of observation of the night sky as a practical activity or by the poor training of teachers. In front of the post, the creation of astronomy clubs collaborates with teaching-learning in the classroom, providing various activities that provoke critical-reflective thinking in the participants and help with the formation of citizenship. This article aims to create an application for mobile platform as an educational product that will be used by creators / managers of astronomy clubs. A checklist application will be created, where the club manager, even if a beginner in the task, has guidance and support for the application of activities, step by step, on the operation of an Astronomy club. The application was produced using the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's MIT App Inventor platform, a programming tool that programmers can build blockable applications without computer training required. It is expected that the application called "AstroGestor" developed will be available and free for all those interested in creating astronomy clubs in Brazil, being able to act as an electronic taskbook and easily accessible, which can help individuals in the procedures of astronomy club activities.Item Astrolábio e Gnômon: construção de instrumentos astronômicos proposta de uma sequência didática(2022-06-07) Silva, Rogerio José Veloso da; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0120978814828307The teaching resources in the classroom are increasingly evolving with the advancement of new technologies. However the "hands on" is still a way to contribute to the construction of knowledge in a meaningful and enjoyable way. In this way, this work brings a proposal for a didactic sequence that presents the step by step of how the use of recycled materials in the construction of astronomical instruments Astrolabes and Gnomon, can be used as a didactic resource to present the concepts of astronomy, mathematics, physics and related sciences. Starting from the natural principle that humanity has made observations through the naked eye since prehistoric times, obtaining notes with the perception of the periodicity of celestial phenomena, which they used to measure time, know the planting and harvest season and guide in the maritime exploration, the present work comes to show the construction of astro-nomical instruments: Astrolabe and Gnomon, as well as a little of their history and their im-portance to assist in the observations of celestial phenomena in the pedagogical context. To better understand the astronomical instruments Astrolabes and Gnomon, a brief summary of the emergence of astronomy is necessary.Item Astronomia tátil e audível: o ensino da astronomia para alunos com deficiência visual(2022-06-18) Melo, Alain Prost Silva de; Guedes, Leandro Ferreira; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; Silva, Ana Paula Teixeira Bruno; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7567099861370352; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1088768516415033; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3110884262014794This research aims to provide a tool that serves as pedagogical support to teachers in the teaching of Astronomy in basic education, directed mainly to students with visual impairment (low vision or blindness). High school teachers will be able to use as support material the educational product that presents a didactic sequence in which it has already been applied and satisfactory results have been obtained.Item Uma proposta pedagógica interdisciplinar de turismo astronômico em Recife e Olinda: contribuições para o ensino de astronomia e atividade turística local(2022-06-20) Santos, Anderson Henrique dos; Galindo, Ester da Silva Ramos; Silva, Ana Paula Teixeira Bruno; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7567099861370352; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5272993729119101This work deals with an interdisciplinary pedagogical proposal whose main objective is to identify the contributions of astronomical tourism to the teaching of Astronomy and local tourist activity, considering the historical, scientific and pedagogical aspects. The methods used include a qualitative approach, of the bibliographic type. The data collection instruments were books, newspapers, scientific articles and internet sites, as well as field visits to record local, photographic and audiovisual information about historical monuments, such as: Observatório das Américas (Observatory of the Americas), the residence of George Marcgrave; the Malakoff Tower, in Recife; Observatory of Alto da Sé, in Olinda and Obelisk of the Transit of Venus. It was verified that the tourism practiced in the cities of Recife and Olinda is aimed at the areas of cultural and artistic manifestations, historical buildings and natural beauties. However, it was observed that scientific tourism, more specifically astronomical, has always been left aside, causing visitors and tourists to not have the opportunity to comprehend the potential of local scientific production. To meet the pre-established objectives, two educational products were built, a didactic sequence to be experienced with basic and/or higher education students, as well as the general public, and a booklet of astronomy tourist attractions in Recife and Olinda.Item Sequência didática utilizando a Terrella para o ensino do campo magnético terrestre(2022-06-13) Nascimento, Robson Lima Pereira do; Nascimento, Rogério Lima do; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0328312194273300; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0190171912727049Official documents such as the BNCC indicate the paths to be followed in basic education in our country, reinforcing the need for integrative activities that engage and motivate students, preparing them to live in such a complex world. The teaching of astronomy has been recommended by such documents given its potential, both for the fascination it causes in most people but also for its interdisciplinary and can be approached in any scientific discipline. Thus, in this research, a didactic sequence (SD) was analyzed that constitutes the educational product, with the objective of verifying its contribution to the teaching of the terrestrial magnetic field, using Terrell, which constitutes a historical experimental model of the Earth. To this end, we start by highlighting the relevance of astronomy teaching at BNCC, and how researchers refer to the use of didactic sequences within a differentiated teaching context. The application of SD with the students proved to be quite fruitful, contributing to the reduction of the abstraction of the concept of terrestrial magnetic field in a playful and pleasant way.
