Item Um estudo sobre preconceito linguístico no filme “Que horas ela volta?”(2019-02-14) Silva, Tamires Bahia da; Lima, Rafael Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8700226970298080; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4761363126388455This work seeks to understand how the northeastern variant is represented in the movie "Que lo seu vuelta" (Back to the Future), as well as to show how the variants are used in the dialogues between the characters that are markedly the target of linguistic prejudice within the film itself. In addition to analyzing how language and its variations are linked to social aspects. Through an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory analysis, we intend to show how linguistic and social discrimination happens in cinematographic production, as a reflection of reality. As for the theoretical apparatus we rely on Sociolinguistics, on the studies of variation and linguistic prejudice, and on the theorists Labov (2008), Bagno (2003, 2007), Tarallo (1986), Scherre (2009) Alkimin (2012) among others. In analyzing this film, we could perceive that linguistic prejudice is naturalized in our society and in our culture, whether someone from another region does not understand some traits in our speech, or when we need to monitor our speech on trips to other regions. And still more excludent is the fixed, unchanging image of the human being behind his speech.Item Estudos sobre língua, literatura e ensino(EDUFRPE, 2019) Sedrins, Adeilson Pinheiro; Lima, Rafael Bezerra de; Albuquerque, Emanuelle Camila Moraes de Melo; Santos, Eudes da SilvaApresentamos, neste livro, trabalhos apresentados na III Semana de Letras da Unidade Acadêmica de Garanhuns da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (III SeLUAG – UFRPE) e do I Seminário de Estudos Linguísticos e Literários Aplicados ao Ensino (I SELLAE). Therefore, we based in papers written by Cagliari (2008) Bortoni - Ricardo (2014), Bagno (2008), among others representatives of Labov (2008), the pioneer researcher of theory who studies the Linguistic Variation. We seek to defend the hypotheses that there are linguistic variations in the texts produced for this community of speech, for this we considered internal and external factors to the language. We elaborated a quantitative research of variation aspect to the data collect, with this we obtained a corpus constituted for a number of 2.838 occurrences of phenomena linguistic taken from 72 texts written by the students of 6th year of selected school. The quantification of data is shown by tables and graphs, based on the methodological method available in Tarallo (1996). Thus, in the development of research, we found out that there is interference of speech in writing conditioned for internal factors, phonological processes and external to the language, as sex and geographic location.Item “Neologismos decolando na velocidade da luz”: diferenças na fala dos jogadores brasileiros de Pokémon Go(2019-12-18) Lima, Diego Luciano Leonardo de; Lima, Rafael Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8700226970298080This work presents an analysis of linguistic variations, with the main focus on Neologisms that arise from communication between the members of different groups, and the gamers and users of the game Pokémon Go are analyzed. From this, a study was made about the characteristics in the language of this community that differentiate it from the language of other people and social groups and whether these differences interfere in the understanding of those who listen to them. Thus its objective is to analyze the variations in the language of this group, understand how and why they arise, and the role of social communication for the creation of new words, be it communication in face-toface conversations or through the media digital online. For the realization of this research, the studies of Carvalho (1984), Tarallo (1990) and Bortoni-Ricardo (2014) were approached as the main theori-cos contributions. Screenshots in The Garanhuns-PE City Game WhatAapp groups and analyzing game videos made by game-pains. The results bring a clearer understanding of the language of this group, from its origins to the reasons and preferences for the use of term determives, and to understanding the meanings of each of them. The whole study had a great basis in sociolinguistic research, studies by Neologis-mos and on the influence of games on communication.Item Restrições modo-temporais em sentenças introduzidas pelos advérbios antes e depois encaixadas pelo complementizador Que(2019-11-21) Silva, Joelma Sobral da; Lima, Rafael Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8700226970298080; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5798864882238240The present work has as scope the study of the verbal phrase (VP) and it’s relation with the adverbs before and after in complex sentences inserted by the complementer that. In this sense, we seek to describe and analyze the limitations related to mode-time endings in structures such as: / The lawyer answered before the judge questioned. / e / The musician will play after she asks. For that, we use the theoretical framework of the Generative Theory for a basis in the data analysis as well as it’s methodological apparatus. (CHOMSKY, 1993; 1995; LIMA, 2006; 2010; CINQUE, 1999; ROCHA & LOPES, 2015; KENEDY, 2003; 2015; 2018; MIOTO & KATO, 2009). The study of the subject is necessary for a better understanding of linguistic phenomena related to the mode-time flexion of verbs in Brazilian Portuguese (PB). We seek to defend the hypothesis of three variables that influence these constraints, the aspectual value, the mode-time value, and the interference of adverb relations before and after the mode-time constraints. Such constraints were observed in the correlation between the indicative mode of the matrix clause in correlation with the subjunctive mode of the embedded clause. For data analysis, we used our intuitions of native speakers of PB and the acceptability tests with native speakers, which showed evidence that confirmed the hypotheses presented here.Item Variação da concordância verbal: análise comparativa entre textos produzidos por alunos do ensino fundamental II e ensino médio(2019-02-14) Borges, Izabela Regiane de Souza; Lima, Rafael Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8700226970298080; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8228060376263553The present work has as main objective to analyze the phenomenon of verbal agreement and, through a sociolinguistic study, based on the proposal presented by William Labov (2008), analyzes the varieties of verbal agreement present in texts produced by elementary school students II of a municipal school located in Vertentes-PE. For that, we analyzed 72 essay-argumentative texts produced by these students, making a survey of collected data, we list the varieties of verbal agreement observed in the textual productions of the students, taking into account linguistic and extralinguistic factors. To compare the results of our research, in order to verify if the level of schooling influences the application of verbal agreement, we use the results presented in Santos (2013) for High School. As a result of our research, we find that students tend to agree the verb to the subject when they are close to each other. And we refuteour hypothesis, regarding the level of schooling, High School students tend to apply verbal agreement lessoften than elementary students II.
