The Residency in professional area of Health is a graduate program focused on teaching in service for the categories that integrate the health area. This modality of specialization enables meaningful learning through professional capacitation and interprofessional work, based on the guidelines of the Brazilian National Health System (SUS). This work aims to report the activities and experiences lived in the two years of work in the context of the residency program, and to present a work derived from discussions and knowledge building resulting from the practical experience related to the area of concentration (Viral diseases of domestic animals).
