Where 1152 hours (20%) are allocated to theoretical and/or theoretical-practical activities and 4608 hours (80%) to practical activities, distributed over 60 hours per week. 100% attendance is required for practical activities and a minimum of 85% attendance for theoretical activities. The residency completion work aims to report all activities experienced during the 2 years of the program, both in the concentration area (veterinary anesthesiology), carried out at the Veterinary University Hospital of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (HVU-DMV/UFRPE), and in public health, conducted in the municipality of Exu, Pernambuco. Furthermore, it also aims to present the case report entitled: Blockade of the sciatic nerve (parasacral approach) and the femoral nerve (pre-iliac approach) in five dogs, as an alternative to epidural anesthesia, for orthopedic surgical procedures.
