To understand the black people's social formation and their relationship with the society through the cinema, reflecting about societal racism across the cinematographic production eyes. Mauricio is an outskirt black man with an African religion, racial quota holder, a student at a public medical school, and experiencing trials and situations in his personal, religious, and academic life. The theoretical background revealed discussions about identity, difference, and representation thinking on possibilities against hegemony, looking for one perspective about cinema and societal racism. Moreover, understanding how the cinema can contribute to the criticism, developing ways for professors to build a debate environment, reflections, and discuss racial/ethnic identity. The methodology adopted consists of reuse screen ethnography. First, taking an interview with decoupage, which consists in segmented the movie into some group of scenes to facilitate work on them. Then, the analytic procedure starts with the relationship between the scenes and the societal racism reflected in the movie.
