    Análise mercadológica da piscicultura ornamental em Camaragibe

    The production of ornamental fish has important issues such as: recreational purpose since aquariums can be placed in different places; social since it generates employment in diverse scales; and economics because it represents annually millions of US dollars around the world, including in the city of Camaragibe that is part of the Metropolitan Region of Recife. In that way, acess how this demand and supply of fishes in this municipality is essential for both sellers and buyers, in order to take decisions about which species to choose. For this reason, the market for ornamental fish in Camaragibe has been studied. A questionnaire was carried out verifying if there is intention to create ornamental fish by the local population, as well as what the characteristics of these fish should be for the purchase to be made or not. At the same time, the supply market of these aquatic organisms was studied through pre-structured questionnaires, where the relevance of an investment in marketing and development of techniques of the sector was perceived.
