Item Comunidade de siris (crustacea: decapoda: portunidae) da zona de arrebentação da praia de Jaguaribe e estuário do Rio Jaguaribe, Ilha de Itamaracá, Pernambuco, Brasil(2022-06-03) Noé, Karyna Kelly Bezerra; Viana, Girlene Fábia Segundo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3338076933519392Crustaceans are important members of tropical benthic communities, serving as food for humans. This study aimed to analyze the biometry, abundance and frequency of the population of Portunid crustaceans from Jaguaribe beach and Jaguaribe river estuary in Itamaracá-PE. The collections were carried out at three points: 1) the surf zone, 2) the river mouth and 3) the estuary. The crabs analyzed in this study are bycatch fish collected by trawling. Soon after collected, the crabs were packed in plastic bags and sent to the Bentos Laboratory (LABENTOS) at UFRPE/UAST. Individuals were identified, sexed and quantified. The data obtained were entered into an electronic spreadsheet for analysis of abundance, frequency and diversity. A total of 190 specimens were identified, distributed in five species: Callinectes danae (Smith, 1869), Callinectes ornatus (Ordway, 1863), Callinectes marginatus (Ordway, 1863), Arenaeus cribrarius (Lamarck, 1818) and Charybdis hellerii (Milne Edwards, 1867). Regarding relative abundance, C.danae was considered a dominant species at all points, obtaining 54% at point 1, 66% at point 2 and 65% at point 3. Arenaeus cribrarius was considered abundant at point 1 with 35% and common at point 2 with 20%, it was not collected at point 3. Callinectes marginatus presented 28% at point 3, being considered common, at point 1 it was classified as occasional with 5%. C. ornatus showed abundance at points 1, 2 and 3 respectively with 5%, 9% and 7%, thus being classified as occasional. Charybdis hellerii was classified as occasional with 5%. In the frequency of occurrence, it was found that C. danae is a species considered euconstant with 82% of the collected sample. C. ornatus and C.marginatus, presented 45% each, thus being constant species. A. cribrarius presented 36% and is considered an accessory species. Considered accidental, C.hellerii with only 18% of the total sample. For diversity the values were low for the river mouth (point 2) and for the interior of the estuary (point 3), and low for the surf zone (point 1). The evenness values were equitable, J'= 0.7276 for the surf zone (point 1), J'= 0.691 for the river mouth (point 2) and J'=0.7555 for the interior of the estuary (point 3). Ancova analysis demonstrated a positive growth relationship between carapace width, carapace length, abdomen width, and weight. Differing only for Callinectes danae in relation to carapace width and abdomen width. The low abundance of Charybdis helleri shows that the species is not endangering native crabs in this locality. This study contributed to increase the knowledge about the crabs on the island of ItamaracáItem Compreendendo a importância do marketing nos empreendimentos de aquicultura(2022-05-30) Nogueira, Denise de Barros; Silva, Ugo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1858876631961029; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4846729856694660Aquaculture is an activity that has been on the rise in recent years, however, the need for changes to allow this growth to be socially, economically and environmentally visible. During the critical periods of the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 (SARSCoV-2) virus, aquaculture as well as other sectors were affected and entrepreneurs needed to change strategies to remain effective within the market. Marketing strategies in turn have been significant in directing how to best conduct the enterprise. This study had as its main objective to understand the influence of marketing within aquaculture enterprises. The present work was developed in two stages, the first a literature review in databases, and the second was the application of a questionnaire aimed at aquaculture entrepreneurs. Most of the papers included in this study were published 17.6% in 2006 (3 studies), 17.6% in 2019 (3 studies), 11.8% in 2011 (2 studies), and 11.8% in 2017 (2 studies). During the pandemic 90.9% responded that they needed to update on social networks, WhatsApp being the main network used by all. Finally, the importance of disciplines, courses, and workshops on marketing in aquaculture enterprises is highlighted, so that future professionals can have a basis when entering the job market.Item Evaporação no semiárido: análise de sensibilidade e comparação de 7 métodos para estimativa(2022-06-03) Barros, Tays Ferreira; Souza, Luciana Sandra Bastos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1186468548787818; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8217101677528263Evaporation is a key variable in understanding the water availability of an environment. Above all, in semi-arid regions, knowledge of water losses is essential and can support the development of activities in these environments. Several models have been proposed to estimate evaporation, these depend on the availability of data, time scale and conditions for which they were developed. This study sought to analyze the sensitivity of the class "A" tank and Penman methods to meteorological variables and compared 7 methods for estimating evaporation for a location in the Brazilian semiarid region. The database used was obtained from a meteorological station located in the municipality of Juazeiro-BA, and comprised the period from 1969-1999. The Penman method was considered standard and correlated with the meteorological variables: temperature (T), humidity (UR), radiation (Rg), wind (Vv) and vapor pressure deficit (DPV), through regression analysis for understanding of the relationships between them. The same procedure was performed for the evaporation measurements obtained through the Class “A” Tank (TCA). Additionally, the information was used to calculate the variable through alternative methods: Stephens–Stewart, Priestley–Taylor, Linacre, Makkink, TCA, Jensen-Haise and Camargo. This information was compared using indices for which Pearson's correlation coefficient (r), coefficient of determination (r²) and Willmont's concordance index are considered. Based on the results obtained, it was possible to verify that the variable DPV presented a high correlation with the evaporation estimated with the Penman and TCA methods. Among the alternative methods, the one that came closest to the method considered standard was Linacre's. Stephens–Stewart, Makkink and Camargo did not show good adequacy in the analyzed region.Item Avaliação da taxa de filtração da daphnia magna cultivada em sistema autotrófico (água clara) e sistema mixotrófico (biofloco) com diferentes dietas ofertadas(2022-06-03) Rodrigues, Mônica de Lima; Abreu, Jéssika Lima de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6237276943114119; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2300244354976388In aquaculture, the larviculture phase of fish farming is one of the main challenges faced, due to the small size of the cultured individuals and the inherent difficulties in feeding and management. The filtration rate is calculated assuming that the nutrient rate of zooplankton is proportional to the concentration of available food. It is relevant to know the filtration rate in order to know how best to produce organisms, verifying if the type of culture will interfere in the filtration rate, and to observe if there is selectivity regarding the diet offered. The culture was performed in autotrophic system, when inorganic carbon and light are used as energy sources; and mixotrophic, in the presence of organic and inorganic carbon, light, and organic compounds as energy sources. Thus, the present research aimed to know the filtration rate of Daphnia magna (cladoceran) in autotrophic and mixotrophic culture being tested different microalgae diets. The experiment was carried out with six treatments with three repetitions each, based on two factors: culture (autotrophic or mixotrophic) and diet (Chlorella vulgaris, Haematococcus pluvialis (green phase/vegetative phase) and red phase/cystic phase). The water quality variables: temperature (°C), dissolved oxygen (mg.L-1 ) and pH were measured twice a day throughout the culture. The variables analyzed for filtration rate were: filtration rate (TF), cell decay with the presence of Daphnia (K Daph ), cell decay without the presence of Daphnia (K sDaph), ratio with Daphnia (C/C0 Daph), ratio without Daphnia (C/C0 sDaph). The growth variables were: specific growth rate (SGR), doubling time (DT), maximum mean density (DMX), yield (R), and day of maximum density (DMD). As for Dissolved Oxygen, there was a significant difference only for the algae factor. However, the other variables pH and temperature showed no statistical difference, with the pH staying around 7.3 and the temperature around 29° C. As for TF, no statistical differences were found in the treatments. However, certain treatments had higher values for H. pluvialis in the cystic phase in both types of cultures and lower values for H. pluvialis in the vegetative phase. The day of maximum density (MDD) was reached on day 7 in the autotrophic culture with the diet of H. pluvialis in the green phase being fed. Thus, H. pluvialis in the green phase was found to be a well utilized food for Daphnia magnaItem Biodiversidade de peixes da praia de Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco(2022-05-30) Lima, Suzana Pereira; Véras, Dráusio Pinheiro; Véras, Luísa Valentim Melo de Vasconcelos Queiroz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8508384155612633; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7132031218581637; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7732154642462526The reef ecosystem of Porto de Galinhas has great ecological, social, scenic and economic importance, both for tourism and for species of commercial value. This study aimed to identify the biodiversity of fish on Porto de Galinhas beach, south coast of Pernambuco and describe them in terms of their trophic groups, abundance, geographic distribution and degree of conservation according to the IUCN and MMA red lists. For the elaboration of the work, data collections were carried out at the study site through visual censuses, between the years 2008 and 2020, totaling 62 dives. Researches were also carried out in the literature and selected works that contained in the body of the text information about the reef species recorded in the study area. A total of 180 fish species distributed in 63 families were recorded, where the most representative family in number of species was Carangidae (16). Most of the species are categorized as rare, while the species categorized as abundant was the group with the lowest number of species. In relation to trophic categories, the group with the greatest representation in number of species was that of eaters of mobile invertebrates and carnivores, with 44% and 26%, respectively, but for the latter, the abundance data show that most of these species are considered rare. Most species occur in the Western Atlantic with 54.5% of the species, however the study area is home to many endemic species in Brazil, 13% of the species found. When combining the IUCN and MMA threat assessments, 6% of the species occurring in Porto de Galinhas are under some level of threat risk. It is necessary that this reef ecosystem be an area considered as a priority for conservation where appropriate management measures are applied for the sustainable use of the site. The present study, in addition to serving as a basis for future work, provides important information that can contribute to the creation of these management plansItem Efeito de diferentes densidades de estocagem no cultivo de camarão marinho Litopenaeus vannamei (BOONE, 1931) em água oligohalina em sistema de bioflocos(2020-03-31) Santos, Ivanilson de Lima; Silva, Ugo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1858876631961029; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1174538900783101The present study aimed at evaluating the production of marine shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei in oligohaline waters in a biofloco system under different stocking densities. The experiment was carried out in Laboratório de Experimentação com Organismos Aquáticos (LEOA/UAST) of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) for 90 days. The experimental design was completely randomized implemented with three stocking densities, 80, 160, and 320 shrimp.m-3 , with four replications. A total of 12 tanks were used, supplied with 800 L of water. The shrimp, with an initial weight of 0.038±0.001 g, were fed daily with commercial feed containing 35% of crude protein, with a frequency of 3 times a day and feeding at an initial rate of 10% of shrimp biomass and was adjusted according to consumption. Sugar was added to provide a daily maintain the 15:1 ratio (C: N). During the cultivation, the physicochemical variables of water quality such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, pH, total ammoniacal nitrogen, nitrite, nitrate, inorganic phosphate, total hardness, alkalinity, turbidity, settling solids, total suspended solids were measured. The zootechnical performance of juvenile shrimp was evaluated using the variables of final weight, feed conversion ratio, specific growth rate, final biomass, production, productivity, and survival. No statistical differences (p>0.05) were found in the means values of water quality variables (temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity) observed daily, as well as in the weekly variables (total ammonium nitrogen, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, hardness, total suspended solids). However, turbidity from D320 was significantly higher than D80 and D160 (p<0.05); settled solids from D320 and D160 were higher than D80 (p<0.05). Most variables were within ideal values, except total suspended solids (265- 2645mg.L-1 ) and temperature (22-24°C). The density of 320 shrimp.m-3 recorded final biomass (205.63±100.83g.m-3 ), production (178.4±39.10shrimp.m-3 ), and productivity (258.67±126.01g.m-3 ) significantly higher than D80 and D160 (p<0,05). Although the low water temperature and high accumulation of total suspended solids, all treatments recorded survival above 50% and low feed conversion. The production of L. vannamei in well water using biofloc is a promising sustainable alternative. However, further studies should be carried out for a better understanding of this system.Item Técnica de defumação e confecção de um defumador artesanal de baixo custo em comunidades indígenas e quilombolas na região do pajeú, sertão pernambucano(2021-03-01) Santos, Jéssica Helen Magalhães dos; Nascimento, Antônio Henrique Cardoso do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5216997634308364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9433653943095205Item Difusão de tecnologia para confecção de defumadores artesanais(2021-01-28) Santos, Jéssica Helen Magalhães dos; Nascimento, Antônio Henrique Cardoso do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5216997634308364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9433653943095205Smoking is an ancient technique used in the preservation of products of animal origin to improve the quality of the food, besides attributing specific characteristics derived from smoking such as texture, color, flavor and odor in the food that are inserted through the spraying of smoke. It is possible to apply this technique as a way to add value to the fish, and improve the income of small producers and fishing communities, aiming at their sustainability. The objective of this project was to disseminate the technology for making and handling a lowcost homemade smoker for the conservation of products through the smoking technique, contributing to the local development of indigenous and quilombola communities located in the municipality of Itacuruba - PE. The present work consisted of three stages: Mobilization of the communities; Confection of a homemade smoker using recycled and low-cost material; and Training on fish processing and smoking. It was attended by the following indigenous and quilombola communities: Poços dos Cavalos, Tuxá de Campos, Pankará, Negros de Gilú, Poços do Boi, and Tuxá do Pajéu, totaling 93 participants during the period from 03/31/2019 to 10/13/2019. There was a good acceptance by the communities about the proposed theme, generating integration between the University and the Traditional Communities.
