Item Águas que correm no Rio São Francisco: um mergulho nas memórias de Caroline Alves(2024-03-05) Alves, Caroline da Silva; Silva, José Nunes da; Aguiar, Maria Virgínia de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4665749527709728; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1731357666757671In this memorial I present reports of the most striking facts of my personal and academic journey, culminating in my achievement of a bachelor’s degree in Agroecology with an emphasis on Peasantry and Popular Education (BACEP) at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. In a descriptive way, I sought to portray my identity, origins, learning acquired during the course and plans for the future. To enrich this narrative, I used the “River of Time” tool, a timeline that highlights important moments and lessons learned along the way. The memorial is structured around thematic axes – Knowing, Planning, Acting and Evaluating – in which community and university experiences, immersions and internships are addressed. The experience enriched by the experiences during the course stands out, portraying the importance of traditional/ancestral knowledge and practices in the search for good living. In addition, the themes of Agrobiodiversity and animal husbandry are presented, serving as a guide for the internships carried out. Finally, the memorial aims to show my transformation, presenting a student educator capable of listening, understanding, analyzing and building together based on the present reality.Item Análise da efetividade das políticas públicas emergenciais de saúde, na pandemia de Covid 19, em Pernambuco: o caso do Quilombo indígena Tiririca (PE)(2022-10-05) Nascimento, Rayane Silvana do; Torres, Avaní Terezinha Gonçalves; Silva, Araci Farias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8234270555627422; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6894754635156771; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7963618675568818Item Comunidade Quilombola Onze Negras: identidade e reconhecimento em questão(2017) Silva, Jairo Hely; Barros, Marcos André de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3743403239578149; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2547694049874830The recognition of quilombolas communities is a very important problem for the Social Sciences. In the last periods, studies that analyze the nuances of this problem, address the issues inherent to it, as well as the implications that are present in the long paths taken by the quilombola communities, which aim at their struggle for recognition, in a social process that also materializes in the Legal plan. However, this recognition of quilombola communities can only be achieved, of course, through uninterrupted conflicts. In this sense, we intuit that the dialogical reality that involves the recognition of a certain quilombola community can be understood from the analysis of the contexts of a struggle for recognition, which is undertaken by each community, in a complex relation of historical construction of its Identity, mediated By interaction with the social whole. In order to understand how the factors that imply the construction of the identity of the quilombola communities and that operate from their recognition, the present work seeks, in a case study, to analyze the issues of this important social process. The research presented here was carried out in the community Quilombola Onze Negras, located in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, metropolitan region of Recife, capital of the state of Pernambuco. With participant observation sessions and semistructured interviews; Dialoging with the theories of identity and the historical analysis of the quilombola question in Brazil; Using the approaches of the theory of recognition, we intend to contribute to the discussion about the recognition and construction of the quilombola identity, in approximation with the reality of this community, contributing to the debate that involves the themes of recognition and identity of quilombola communities.Item Contribuições da EJAI para afirmação da identidade negra no Quilombo Rural de Castainho - município de Garanhuns - PE(2021-12-10) Alves, Alan da Silva; Santana, Moisés de Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3373237780862014; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6182028660316441This research was carried out at the Virgília Garcia Bessa Municipal School, in the Quilombola community of Castainho, in the EJAI modality class, and its general objective is to analyze and understand the practices of reading and writing as a means of affirming black identity. Understanding the Education of Youth, Adults and Elderly as one of the forms of knowledge construction combined with the strengths of the people's knowledge is a necessity for the changes in mentality in relation to ethnic heritage to be consolidated. This is only possible when the educational practices beyond the school are related in a liberating pedagogical praxis; and this practice involves the educator's ability to add knowledge, affection, criticality, respect, action and, together with the student, contribute to the transformation of the world. Its methodology is based on a qualitative approach and a case study, in which 6 subjects participated, namely: 2 teachers, 3 students and 1 community leader; for this, the following instruments were used: semi-structured interviews with all subjects, field observation with annotations and bibliographical research. This research took as theoretical basis the studies of Stecanella (2013), Soares (2008), Freire (2000), Munanga (2003), Brandão (1998), Bourdieu (2003) among others. We conclude that the EJAI modality needs, in addition to a contextualized teaching strategy, to educate and train critical subjects to overcome the structural racism that exists in our country.Item O cotidiano das famílias pertencentes à comunidade remanescente de quilombo que aderem as denominações pentecostais(2020) Souza, Clarice Andrade de Melo; Maciel, Michelle Cristina Rufino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9534230023921784; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4573279552778289This study is the result of the Supervised Mandatory Internship (ESO) linked to the SISAN project Universities UFRPE - UFPB - UFRN. During the internship, it was possible to approach the quilombola communities in the state of Pernambuco. It was possible to observe the presence of Pentecostal denominations in them, as well as the adhesion of several families to these denominations. These situations contributed to the awakening of the research problem: what leads the families of the remaining quilombo community of the Southern Forest of Pernambuco to choose the Pentecostal religion? The general objective is to analyze the implications of Pentecostalism in the daily dynamics of the remaining quilombo families in a municipality of Mata Sul in the state of Pernambuco. The specific objectives were to trace the socio-economic profile of the families, to identify religious expressions in the community, and to make an analysis of the reasons that lead these families to link themselves to Pentecostal religions. For this purpose, qualitative methodology was used, with interviews in the communities of quilombo remnants of the Southern forest of the state of Pernambuco, data collection, bibliographic research, and on-site observation. At the end of the research, it was verified the existence of more than one Pentecostal denomination in the community, besides, that the members of the community adopted these denominations as a way to express their religiosity and that this adhesion has implications in their daily lives. Item A relação e os acidentes com serpentes em comunidades quilombolas no semiárido brasileiro(2022-10-21) Vieira, Diogo Michel; Almeida, Cauê Guion de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2072654463873094; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3839301143707814The relationship between humans and reptiles, especially snakes, is most often conflictive. In the Brazilian semiarid region, in quilombo communities surrounding the Serra do Giz Wildlife Refuge, the inhabitants live in close contact with the local fauna. Understanding the relationship between humans and snakes is essential so that conservation actions directed to these animals can be carried out. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship and perception that community dwellers have about snakes, as well as the procedures adopted in case of accidents with poisonous snakes. Fifty-five informants were interviewed through semi-structured forms, complemented by free interviews and informal conversations. There is a conflicting relationship between the inhabitants of the quilombo communities and snakes, which are seen as dangerous and cause of fear, which ends up leading most people to kill the animals during an encounter. Also, accidents involving snakes and humans are common in the communities, as are accidents involving snakes and domestic animals. In the case of accidents with humans and snakes, instead of seeking medical attention as recommended by the public health service, it is common for the victims to adopt procedures to treat the poisoning and its symptoms, learned through experience or transmitted most of the time by older people. Some procedures may be beneficial, others may worsen the patient's condition, and others have no scientific confirmation that they are beneficial or harmful. The existence of this conflict with snakes, however, does not justify the extermination of these animals, which brings enormous environmental damage since snakes have an important role in the ecological balance. Fear, ignorance, and the inability to correctly identify a poisonous snake need to be addressed through public policies of environmental education which teach that not all of the snakes pose as a risk of accidents and that they need to be preserved, as well as public policies and projects for accidents prevention and safety during work on farms or in activities near the forest. Ethnozoological studies should be encouraged because they are important tools for designing actions and strategies for animal conservation and recording traditional knowledge.
