The state of Pernambuco was responsible for 1,02% of slaughters. In 2018, the production of eggs has achieved 39.923.119.357 units. Inside this, 99,74% was destined to inside market. In the last few years the coturniculture has presented a nice development, fitting into new production technologies. The veterinary has a important function in the development of aviculture, being responsible for the production following sanitary laws and ensuring a better productivity of the birds. The goal of this mandatory and supervised internship was report the current reality of the poultry production, participating in activities developed in several sectors of aviculture. Between 03/12/2019 and 04/23/2019, activities of factories of bird food, bromatology labs, hatchery, egg matrix and cut chicken farms in the Mauricéa Alimentos do Nordeste LTDA company were followed. Between 05/02/2019 and 06/03/2019 the experience was on the commercial stance farm Ovo Novo and Ovinho Novo, respectively manufacturers of commercial eggs and quail eggs. Both are part of the J. Florêncio Avicultura LTDA. company and, even in different segments, have convergence in biosecurity and quality production.Item Estudo mercadológico de ovos no município de Barreiros-PE(2019-01-15) Lins Junior, Oziel Saturnino; Rabello, Carlos Bôa Viagem; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4760288746238700; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6818910337068938Poultry farming is one of the most important activities of Brazilian agribusiness and economic results have been favorable for companies, markets and people linked to this means of production, trade and consumption. This study aimed to evaluate the average number of eggs sold and the parameters that the consumer of the municipality of Barreiros-PE uses for the purchase of this food. To do so, the market research was used as a method for data collection, through two questionnaires, one aimed at the seller and the other for the consumer, obtaining data from the 20 main commercial establishments that sell eggs and from 187 consumers who participated in the online questionnaire. From the data analysis it was possible to notice that all the eggs sold in the city's commerce are from commercial farms in the state of Pernambuco and that 81.7% are of white bark, and 17.7% are brown eggs and only 0.6% are white eggs, with a total of approximately 205,230 egg units sold weekly between supermarkets, markets, grocery stores and free-market banks. As for consumers, 44.4% prefer white eggs, while 21.4% prefer brown eggs and 34.2% doesn´t have a preference for shell color. The main decision-making factor for egg selection was 47.6%, followed by 16%, and thus completing the other factors (commercial origin, indifferent and shell color), which together added up 36.4%. The comparative analysis among these systems aims to identify which one is more advantageous and profitable, taking into consideration aspects related to facilities, equipment, and inputs. To conduct the planning, the Lohmann Brown lineage manuals for cage production system and alternative systems (cage-free and free-range) were used as a basis for productive indices. The production cost analysis was carried out based on market research, followed by an economic analysis. The conventional system showed a benefit/cost ratio of 0.61, 0.68, and 0.71 in up to three production cycles, respectively. The cage-free system had ratios of 0.65, 0.77, and 0.80, while the free-range system had ratios of 0.76, 0.89, and 0.91. Although three production systems were planned with the expectation of achieving viability in up to three production cycles, none of them proved to be economically viable due to the low benefit-to-cost ratio. Therefore, it was estimated for six production cycles, where the benefit/cost ratio for the conventional system was 0.71 and for the cage-free system was 0.87, both still being unviable. However, the free-range system was viable in six production cycles with a benefit/cost ratio of 1.07, meaning it showed a profit of R$ 8,932.90 per month. Esta atividade envolve diversas etapas: matriz, incubatório, frangos de corte, aves de postura, fabricação de ração e abate e processamento dos produtos para consumo humano. O objetivo do estágio foi acompanhar os manejos de produção avícola realizados na empresa Ferraz Avícola, tendo sua sede no munícipio de Belo Jardim – PE. Dentre as atividades realizadas no período do estágio se destaca os manejos das matrizes para produção de ovos férteis e saudáveis; no incubatório foi realizado a incubação dos ovos férteis, acompanhar todo o processo da seleção dos ovos para incubação até os nascimentos dos pintainhos e pintainhas; na fábrica de ração foi realizado o acompanhamento de produção, desde a seleção de matérias primas até o produto final (ração); nos frangos de corte foi realizado alojamentos dos pintainhos e pintainhas e várias visitas técnicas nas granjas dos integrados; nas poedeiras foi realizado e acompanhado os manejos de produção diários realizado nas poedeiras e nas codornas de postura. (Guaraves), from October 2, 2023, to December 22, 2023, in the city of Guarabira–PB, with a workload of 420 hours. The Brazilian industrial poultry farming is one of the main sectors of Brazilian agribusiness, with the country currently being the world's largest exporter of chicken meat and the second-largest producer. The internship aimed to monitor the activities of the broiler chicken production chain through practical management activities in heavy breeders' farms, incubation management for one-day chick production, regular visits to broiler farms for health analysis and batch management, chick reception and collection, commercial egg farms, commercial egg processing centers, and slaughterhouses. The management of fertile eggs is a complex task with various layers in its production chain, starting from the breeder farm, focusing on the management of breeding birds, especially in fumigation and egg storage. The refrigerated handling of the egg room ensures a reduction in the initial batch mortality rates, proposed case report, part of an interventional analysis in the management of a heavy sow farm, aiming to seek the ideal management to reduce the initial mortality of the flock. The internship provided hands-on experience in the routine of the poultry production chain, aiming for a successful outcome in all possible stages.
