The experiment with larviculture was carried out at the Laboratory of Experimentation of Aquatic Organisms of the Serra Talhada Academic Unit (UFRPE / UAST), during 28 days. A completely randomized design with five treatments with diets containing different concentrations of 30PD digestible protein was adopted; 34PD; 38 PD; 42PD and 46PD, with four repetitions. Twenty circular fiberglass experimental tanks with a useful volume of 1000 L of water were used, and 200 L of water were used in the experiment for the cultivation of Nile tilapia larva (O. niloticus) in biofloc technology. The larvae were fed 6 times a day. To maintain the C: N ratio, 15: 1 was fertilized daily with molasses. Physical and chemical variables of water quality were monitored throughout the cultivation. The zootechnical performance of the larvae was evaluated through the variables final weight (g), survival (%), apparent feed conversion factor (FCA), TBI (%. day-1), and daily weight gain (mg day -1). Based on the study results, the zootechnical performance variables did not present significant differences (p> 0.05), however, it was observed that in a biofloc system a protein level below that required by the larvae of 38% of digestible protein presented favorable data for the. cultivation of nile tilapia larva. The results by the water quality analysis showed that the treatments with the different protein levels did not present significant difference in the water quality (p> 0,05). Given the study it was possible to realize that it is possible to cultivate Nile tilapia larvae (oreochromes niloticus) using 30% digestible protein diets in a culture system using biofloc technology.Item Produção de camarão Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) com tecnologia de biofloco na empresa maricultura cutia, Pedra Grande, RN(2019-11-21) Gaia, Maria Aparecida Alves; Silva, Ugo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1858876631961029; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9485827629034373Biofloc technology is prominent in aquaculture as it is a more effective system that targets high stocking densities of aquatic organisms with little or no water renewal. The purpose of this report was to learn about the infrastructure needed for the production of Litopenaeus vannamei marine shrimp with biofloc technology from Maricultura Cutia Ltda, located in the city of Pedra Grande, Rio Grande do Norte. The company focuses on shrimp production from post larvae ( PLs) until fattening. The internship took place from April 18 to June 28, 2019. During this period it was possible to follow the routine activities of the farm, since the settlement of the PLs in the nurseries, and their respective raceway transfers and nurseries, besides it was possible to follow activities that occurred on the farm itself, where water, bacteriology and pathology analyzes of shrimp were performed. The experience of the internship can give me great knowledge about the infrastructures necessary for the production of Litopenaeus vannamei, from the nursery to its fattening phase in biofloco, besides it was possible to associate the theoretical knowledge with the practical ones which allowed me a great growth. both personal and professional.Item Produção de camarão marinho Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) em sistema super intensivo com tecnologia de biofloco na Estação Marinha de Aquicultura da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande(2020-09-21) Morais, Julio Gabriel Cordeiro de; Silva, Ugo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1858876631961029; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2106503604382871This work aimed to describe how activities performed during the period of Mandatory Supervised Internship, required for examining a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Engineering. This way, it presents the experience acquired in the production of Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in biofloc technology (BFT), with low water exchange. The internship took place at the Marine Aquaculture Station of the Federal University of Rio Grande (EMA-FURG), from March 16th to May 27th, in 2020. It was possible to monitor the activities and identify the infrastructure needed for the production and the grow-out phase of the shrimp in BFT, from the acquisition of the juveniles until the harvesting of the animals. Several management procedures were also realized, such as calculations related to feeding management, liming, and fertilization, as well as their applications, water quality monitoring, data analyses for decision making, among other activities. Participations in different scientific experiments were also carried out in the Station, further expanding the experience and knowledge acquired, which provided a professional improvement and a practical application of theoretical knowledge.Item Qualidade físico-química da água na larvicultura e engorda do Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) em sistema de biofloco(2023-02-10) Silva, Maria de Fátima Gomes; Silva, Ugo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1858876631961029; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2381242316097657O presente trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar os parâmetros de qualidade de água de tanques de cultivo do camarão branco do Pacífico em sistema de biofloco. O estudo foi realizado na Estação Marinha de Aquacultura da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande durante o período de 29 de julho a 24 de agosto de 2022. Foram utilizadas três estruturas diferentes denominadas como Greenhouse 2 (GH2), Greenhouse 3 (GH3) e Sala de Larvicultura, onde, na GH2 foram acompanhados os tanques 1 e 2 de 40 m2 e com um volume de 40.000 L, na GH3 os tanques 2, 3 e 4 de 35 m2 , com volume de 35.000 L e na Sala de Larvicultura apenas o tanque 10, com área de 10 m2 com volume de 10.000 L. Todos os tanques foram povoados numa densidade de estocagem de 300 camarões/m2 . Por se tratar de um sistema de produção intensiva, foi necessário um controle e manutenção da qualidade de água, sendo realizadas análises frequentes dos parâmetros físico-químicos de qualidade de água, tais como, temperatura, oxigênio dissolvido, pH, amônia, nitrito, nitrato, fosfato, salinidade, alcalinidade e sólidos suspensos totais, com intuito de caracterizar o desenvolvimento dos animais. O manejo alimentar dos animais compreendia em alimentá-los com ração extrusada comercial duas vezes ao dia, com aplicações semanais de probiótico e foram realizadas avalições semanais de crescimento dos animais. Os parâmetros físico-químicos de qualidade de água se mantiveram dentro do recomendado à espécie cultivada com exceção da temperatura e do nitrito que se apresentaram fora do nível de segurança para o Litopenaeus vannamei cultivado em sistema de biofloco, comprometendo o crescimento dos camarões durante o trabalho. Foi possível concluir que é possível cultivar o camarão branco do Pacífico (Litopenaeus vannamei) em sistema de biofloco quando é realizado o monitoramento rígido e um manejo adequado do sistema para garantir que as variáveis físico-químicas da água se mantenham estáveis ao recomendado para a espéci
