The description consists of the presentation of the internship site and the report of the assignments allusive to the monitoring of the clinical-surgical routine during the above-mentioned period. Chapter two has an initial part that includes a literature review about cryptorchidism, with emphasis on anatomy and pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment, as well as complications caused by this condition, in order to introduce the theme to be addressed in the case report of a German shepherd dog affected by bilateral abdominal cryptorchidism associated with sertolioma and prostatic and paraprostatic abscesses.Item Levantamento dos dados de atendimento e procedimentos no Centro de Zoonoses/Hospital Veterinário de Serra Talhada - PE(2019) Machado, Andréa Oliveira; Torres, Thaysa Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6048909151017542; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6332854776963179To evaluate the effects of the inclusion of a Veterinary Hospital, the objective was to analyze the operation of the clinical / surgical care services of the Veterinary Hospital of Serra Talhada-PE. Measures such as the construction of public veterinary hospitals can solve problems related to the purchasing power of tutors, as well as bring more information about the health of animals to the general population. The experiment was carried out at the Center for Control of Zoonoses and Veterinary Hospital of Serra Talhada - PE and lasted for the years 2016 and 2018. The retrospective study was based on the survey and evaluation of the surgical files of the animals taken to the Serra Veterinary Hospital Talhada- PE. The data collected from these sheets were entered into a spreadsheet of Microsoft Excel software and had all the data described above. For the statistical analysis, the data were submitted to the chi-square test at 5% significance. There were more dogs and cats seen in the city of Serra Talhada from 2016 to 2018. The media were great vectors for the largest number of patients, as well as the NGO Quatro Patas. This study analyzed the operation of the dog and cat care services in the clinical / surgical part of the Veterinary Hospital of Serra Talhada-PE in the years 2016 and 2018, and it was observed the importance of the veterinary hospital for the care of the general population, both of the city and of the region where the tutors can maintain in days the sanity of its animals with low costs.
