Item Aligning expectations about the adoption of learning analytics in a brazilian higher education institution(2021-03-01) Garcia, Samantha Millena Costa; Falcão, Taciana Pontual da Rocha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5706959249737319; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7221410090403436Learning Analytics (LA) consists of using educational data to inform teaching strategies and management decisions, aiming to improve students’ learning. The successful implementation of LA in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) involves technical aspects and infrastructure and, but also, and very importantly, stakeholders’ acceptance. The SHEILA framework proposes instruments for diagnosis of HEI for LA adoption, including stakeholders’ views. In this paper, we present the results of the application of SHEILA’s surveys adapted to the Brazilian context, to identify the most and least important aspects in the views of students and instructors, and compare their ideal and realistic expectations about the adoption of LA. Results confirm the high interest in using LA for improving the learning experience, but with ideal expectations higher than realistic expectations, and point out key challenges and opportunities for Latin American researchers to join efforts towards building solid evidence that can inform educational policymakers and managers, and support the development of strategies for LA services in the region.Item Análise da percepção de estudantes do ensino médio quanto aplicações atuais da teoria da evolução e medidas facilitadoras do ensino-aprendizagem(2019-12-05) Carlos, Isabella Ribeiro; Montes, Martín Alejandro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0349635170206363; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7389871566380539Item Análise de desempenho e de disponibilidade do Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem na Nuvem Privada Apache CloudStack(2019) Silva, Alison Vinicius Gomes da; Callou, Gustavo Rau de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3146558967986940; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8010059314855618Item A aprendizagem de inglês como língua estrangeira a partir do uso das quatro habilidades básicas comunicativas em salas de aula de escolas da rede pública de São Bento do Una(2019-07-19) Melo, Karla Karolynne Souza de; Lima, Cristiano Soares de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6931282608444674; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5342845037433005The present monograph aims at observing, analyzing and discussing the teaching approaches, methods and techniques used in English classes in two state schools in the city of São Bento do Una – PE, where the two respective internships for the English Internship subjects of our undergraduation course had been carried out. Based on Applied Linguistics, this research presents and discusses the possible presence and use of the four basic learning abilities in foreign language according to Silveira (1999), focusing, however, on speaking and listening as the ones that should be more emphasized in regular school teaching classes lest the students regard language teaching as something exclusively grammatical. In order to get to such point, it deems necessary to address the matter of the four existing language teaching approaches available today: the traditional approach; the structural approach; the cognitive approach and the communicative approach, understanding the role of each language ability in each approach and the role of each of these approaches in cass. Furthermore, a relation between the Brazilian PCN (National Curricular Parameters) and the kind of school teaching nowadays is established. In order to corroborate the hypothesis, authors such as Brown (1994), Schmitz (2007) and Silveira (1999) are brought. This work questions and inquires about the seeminglly lack of orality in several language classrooms and seeks to understand the reasons behind such fact. As such, a qualitative kind of research was chosen for the development of this work, having considered our corpus and the nature of the discussions to be conducted, which could be classified as case-study, once its non-exclusive relation to theoretical information, but also with field observtions and experiential comparisons and contrasts. What was found in the internship was the predominant use of the traditional approach with exercises involving only the grammar of EL.Item Arte-educação como instrumento de inclusão(2021-08-25) Silva, Lenildes Martins da; Carvalho, Marluce Vasconcelos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2780914280180020; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8097380498601722This research has as a general objective to investigate how the process of inclusion of PCD in an inclusive school takes place based on activities in Art and, as specific objectives, to know the reality faced by PCD students before the inclusive school and the special school; analyze how art activities can influence the process of inclusion and development of PCD. The theoretical framework included discussions about The Theater of the Oppressed, created by Augusto Boal, which helps to develop people's perception from actions learned on stage and lead learning to transform lives, and Ana Mae Barbosa's Triangular Approach, which developed a of the main methodologies used in art education. The methodological procedures adopted consisted of qualitative research from an observation stage in a regular school and research carried out in a special school. The data obtained indicated that art education is one of the proposers for the inclusion of PCD students. And, based on the discussions presented, it is considered that inclusion is one of the possible ways to fight social inequality, and that the activities in art developed contribute to the knowledge and appreciation of human life.Item AstroGestor, um aplicativo checklist(2022-06-15) Costa, José Iago Matheus Barbosa; Coutinho, Nicolle Cabral; Miranda, Antonio Carlos da Silva; Leão, Renata Sá Carneiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9253144963508579; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3236324734090101; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8777428923521869; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4536582058890010Study Astronomy is an interdisciplinary task, which involves several areas of science. During the stages of Basic Education, contact with this discipline can arouse interest in young people for professional careers related to Science and Technology. Despite its importance, the teaching of astronomy in schools is still deficient, either due to the lack of observation of the night sky as a practical activity or by the poor training of teachers. In front of the post, the creation of astronomy clubs collaborates with teaching-learning in the classroom, providing various activities that provoke critical-reflective thinking in the participants and help with the formation of citizenship. This article aims to create an application for mobile platform as an educational product that will be used by creators / managers of astronomy clubs. A checklist application will be created, where the club manager, even if a beginner in the task, has guidance and support for the application of activities, step by step, on the operation of an Astronomy club. The application was produced using the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's MIT App Inventor platform, a programming tool that programmers can build blockable applications without computer training required. It is expected that the application called "AstroGestor" developed will be available and free for all those interested in creating astronomy clubs in Brazil, being able to act as an electronic taskbook and easily accessible, which can help individuals in the procedures of astronomy club activities.Item Avaliação da aprendizagem: superando desafios na educação física escolar durante o ensino remoto emergencial(2023-05-04) Almeida, Isabella Maria França Severo de; Paiva, Andréa Carla de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1546386833032185This study aims to analyze the evaluative practice of Physical Education (PE) at school during Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE), verifying which evaluation strategies were used in the pedagogical practice and highlighting the main challenges and possibilities encountered to evaluate student learning. in a remote context. The research was guided by a qualitative approach and carried out based on the action-research method, intending to understand the strategies used to overcome the challenges of assessing learning in school PE during the ERE. To this end, the evaluative practices of the EF curricular component, which occurred during the ERE, in the 3rd two-month period of the 2021 school year, in a 9th grade class of Elementary School II, of a Federal Public School, were considered, through observations and interventions carried out for the discipline of Mandatory Supervised Internship III, of the Degree in Physical Education at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE). From the studies, it was possible to perceive how much the evaluation of learning is a complex process and how it becomes even more complex when brought to the school PE, due to the specificities and the difficulty of the area in legitimizing itself as a curricular component in the school. However, it was found with the research that it is possible to overcome the challenges of the existing evaluation, in addition to those resulting from the ERE, using strategies such as the diversification of techniques, instruments and criteria to evaluate the students' learning, considering them diverse subjects, with different cognitive, affective and sociocultural abilities. Therefore, the research collaborated for the development of knowledge about the evaluation of learning in school PE in remote teaching, showing the possibilities of planning and carrying out an intentional evaluative practice in this context, an evaluation that evaluates in a continuous, procedural, qualitative and that, above all, consider the student as an integral being, understanding him in his entirety and from his reality, and more, that is based on consolidated theories and methodologies, such as the Historical-Critical Pedagogy and the Critical-Overcoming Pedagogy.Item Avaliação de algoritmos baseados em Deep Learning para Localizar placas veiculares brasileiras em ambientes complexos(2019) Marques, Bruno Henrique Pereira; Macário Filho, Valmir; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4346898674852080; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3847789259699701With the increase in the number of private vehicles, we can observe the increase in the number of violations of traffic laws, theft of vehicles and, thus, a better management and traffic control is necessary. A vehicle and its owner are recognized through the unique and required vehicle license plate (LP), and to be inspected and extracted data with greater efficiency, it is recommended to use automated systems for detecting and recognizing vehicle license plates. This work introduce a study and evaluation of algorithms based on Deep Learning to locate Brazilian LPs in complex environments. For the achievement of the experiments, a bank of images of Brazilian LPs was created based on problems like images with different resolution, quality, lighting and perspective of scene. Were used the Deep Learning algorithms YOLOv2 and YOLOv3, which has not yet been studied to the best of our knowledge. In addition, the Tree-structured Parzen Estimator (TPE) algorithm was used to optimize hyperparameters and maximize the performance of selected convolutional neural networks. For the evaluation, the performance metrics were used: prediction time, Intersection over Union (IoU) and confidence rate. The experiments result demonstrate that YOLOv3 presented better performance, obtaining 99.3% of vehicle license plate detection.Item Avaliaçâo de aprendizagem: concepções e aplicações(2018) Nascimento, Mirleidy Esterfani Oliveira do; Silva, Suely Alves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3497194749381919The objective of this research was to analyze the conceptions of some authors about the process of evaluation of learning. This theme was built in order to raise the concepts, approaches and conceptions of evaluation defined by some authors based on reports of experiences and research focused on approaches educational assessments. Where they conceptualize and justify the concept of evaluation according to several factors that intercede and influence in this process. Another factor that made me raise this theme is an experience report where I was able to experience the evaluation process as regent teacher of discipline, being able to have the vision of how the process is seen from the position that was offered to me and also I had the opportunity to follow the process where the students seek to recover the necessary score, in view of the search for “promotion” or egress in the next school year. The methodology developed was a theoretical type of literature review. We conclude in this investigation that the researched authors have a differentiated view about the evaluation in the educational learning process. And with that it was possible to have an expanded view regarding the methodologies used in the construction of the evaluation process.Item A avaliação do ensino-aprendizagem escolar: possibilidades nas aulas de Educação Física(2022-10-10) Souza, Sérgio Henrique de Oliveira; Paiva, Andréa Carla de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1546386833032185This study focused on the analysis of the evaluation of the teaching-learning process in Physical Education classes, so that the teacher understands the evaluation processes, identifying their theoretical-methodological foundations and their didactic possibilities for classes at school, collaborating with the teacher to measure how the sense-meaning of the contents reached the student, so that he/she evolves as a person and as a citizen, thus reaching a critical reflection of the reality in which he/she is, providing greater connection between teacher, content and student, in a profound and at the same time transparent, assimilable and concrete way. The research was carried out from the qualitative method, in particular, a bibliographic review, being developed during the discipline of Mandatory Supervised Internship III in Physical Education - Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), held in a 9th grade class of Elementary School of Pernambuco. Aprivate school in the city of Recife-PE. This study provides a contribution of evaluative practices, taking into account the entire teaching-learning process. The research contributed to the development of knowledge about the use of evaluative practices in the Physical Education curricular component, expanding the understanding of this much-discussed pedagogical tool, evaluation, and consequently helping in the production of knowledge in the area of Physical Education.Item A avaliação na educação infantil: diálogos entre a prática e as orientações curriculares oficiais(2019) Araújo, Alane Bezerra de; Silva, Valdirene Moura da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8238548957613487; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4655030711606668This study aimed to present a little about the teaching practice of Evaluation in Early Childhood Education, from which we conduct a dialogue between the practice and the official curricular guidelines to evaluate in the said stage, in this study we seek as a general objective: to analyze the evaluation strategies present in the teaching practice of Early Childhood Education, and to compose this research, we set out the following specific objectives: To identify the evaluation course in Early Childhood Education; as well as to verify the evaluation's contributions to the teaching and learning processes and, finally, to evaluate the evaluation actions present in the teaching practice in Early Childhood Education. Our research fits the ethnographic type with a qualitative approach, since we seek to insert ourselves in the field and understand the behavior of certain subjects. The research made possible the enrichment of knowing in practice how in fact the Evaluation in Child Education happens, and especially the need for a different look during this stage of teaching, considering that the evaluation allows reflection on the teaching and learning processes.Item Avaliar: sistema para autoria e acompanhamento de recursos avaliativos(2019-07-11) Elias, Alana Maria Tenório; Vanderlei, Igor Medeiros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7448139435512224; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4249467181282314The school evaluation is the subject of numerous studies that aim to evolve from its classificatory character only, to a process of complete diagnosis of the evolution and level of knowledge of the student in all the objectives of a subject. This perspective, however, triggers difficulties, making it necessary to establish precise evaluative metrics and a detailed monitoring of the development process of each student in each content. This research aims to present a system for authoring evaluation resources and monitoring of school evaluation, modelled to support teachers and students in the process of learning verification, allowing a more precise mapping of the understanding of each content of a subject. To do so, using the methodology Design Science Research, a bibliographic study was carried out in the context of school evaluation and its main difficulties, as well as the analysis educational systems to support the modelling of the tool. The presented solution was validated through tests with potential users, followed by a survey about the usage experience.Item O brincar e o desenvolvimento das crianças(2021) Santos, Danila Fernandes dos; Gonçalves, Karla Gisele Aleixo; Silva, Samara Cavalcanti da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2458414664579982Item Conhecendo as percepções dos acadêmicos em Licenciatura em Pedagogia 5º e 7º período sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem(2019) Correia, Maria Beatriz Bezerra da Silva; Vasconcelos, Norma Abreu e Lima Maciel de Lemos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4261347568631671; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7172588991719699Evaluation is a process for all who interact in academic daily life, especially for students facing emotional conflict situations, with stigmas that can accompany them for the rest of their lives. Given this, this work aims to analyze the perceptions of the students of the fifth and seventh period of the degree course in Pedagogy at UFRPE-UAG regarding the conception of assessment learning. Based on the studies of Luckesi (2011), Demo (1990), Hoffmann (2003) and Vygotsky (1991), among others. Exploratory research was used with case study through the theoretical findings of Prodonov and Freitas (2013) and Gil (2008) and, regarding data analysis, Aguiar and Ozella (2006) in order to know the perceptions that future teachers are acquiring during their training and pedagogical practice. The data showed that undergraduates who are leaving with the Degree course in Pedagogy at UAG present the perception that the evaluation serves to reformulate the pedagogical practice of teachers, that too, are being evaluated when applying any assessment instruments. It is concluded, therefore, that learning assessment is not synonymous with punishment; it needs to be perceived and conceived as a learning improvement strategy in the school context. It is hoped that this research will contribute to a better understanding of the real role of learning assessment.Item Considerações sobre crenças de graduandos em letras acerca do processo de aprendizagem de língua inglesa(2018-07-13) Berto, Felipe de Luna; Lima, Emanuelle Camila Moraes de Melo Albuquerque; Barbuio, Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2468107735357950; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0470905904340465; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5506333233424805This research aimed to identify the main beliefs about English language learning and its influence on the learning process of future teachers of Arts course with dual qualification in Portuguese and English languages, from the Academic Unit of Garanhuns at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. To do so, the research was performed through the application of a questionnaire to entrant students in the graduation in 2014 and in 2018, whose data were compared. The analysis was supported by the main theories and hypotheses regarding the acquisition of languages and foreign language learning after the so-called "critical period" - Krashen (1984); and on the notion of beliefs in this learning process - Barcelos (2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007), Horwitz (1988) and Kudiess (2005). As result, it was verified that most of the presented beliefs represent obstacles in the learning process of the English language. The data obtained also suggest that the beliefs are maintained as a result of the influence of previous experiences about learning this language. In the education sector, these transformations have caused changes in didactics and teaching methods, demanding from teachers a redefinition of the practices that aim to reach the students' learning in a way that does not harm their development. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the challenges and possibilities that the Coronavirus pandemic brought to the education sector, and to discuss the use of new technologies as teaching tools. The work was based on a bibliographic review and netnographic research, whose results identified a greater need for improvement and training of teachers to deal with the new educational demands, especially in Elementary School II as well as the integration of school-family in the context of education. The choice of this phase of education was due to the fact that, although the Law of Directives and Bases - LDB - recommends that the Elementary School can use complementary learning in emergency cases, it was noticed in practice gaps and difficulties related not only to teaching practices, but also to the apprehension of learning by students and the monitoring of parents. Suddenly, due to the coronavirus pandemic, teachers had to adjust their lesson plans, search for remote teaching strategies, as well as students and parents had to adapt spaces in their homes to adapt to this new challenging reality, which exposed the urgency in teaching didactic changes.Item Desenvolvimento de um Ambiente Educacional para Auxiliar o Ensino de Lógica de Programação: uma abordagem com arduino, blocos de montar de plástico interligados e programação em blocos(2019-12-19) Brito, Alan Limeira; D'Emery, Richarlyson Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3553920177544450; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5397050619245987Currently, as schools undergo transformations in their teaching methods, some still use traditional tools, on the other hand, other updated updates. Technology in schools can develop new skills, such as logical thinking, or who welcomes students both at school level and in relation to everyday activities and their working life. The teaching of programming logic is already part of the basic curriculum of many countries, which are related to the importance of logic as a basis for the development of children. In the information society, the use of technologies as a tool to help teachers has gained notoriety, in this sense, Educational Robotics becomes an alternative means for teaching and, consequently, can improve the performance of children in the study of programming logic. . It is in this context that we decorate this research, focused on the development of an educational environment for the teaching of programming logic. The developed environment uses the JavaScript code programming method and block programming, which are used in blocks to drive hardware developed from the combination of interlocking plastic assembly blocks and Arduinopowered electronics. An electronic interface is encapsulated to address any complexities. Thus, as a major contribution, this work brings the development of a solution for teachers and students assisting in the process of teaching and learning the logic of programming, mainly because it is a low cost solution that can be used in work situations and / or in a school environment.Item Desenvolvimento de um objeto de aprendizagem para ensino da língua portuguesa(2018) Aquino, Thiago Rodrigo de; Almeida, Isledna Rodrigues de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8142534647575696Introduction: According to the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), a program developed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Brazil ranks 59th in the world education ranking. Through a study carried out byPISA in 2015, the students had low performance, with an average of 407 points, where the ideal score would be 698. Another worrying factor is that according to the Ministry of Education (MEC), students finish elementary school unable to read and write properly. According to the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB), the level of learning in the sixth to ninth grade has not improved sufficiently, over the years this level has been decreasing. The Federal Government has invested in education, where it distributed more than 600 thousand tablets in all public schools in Brazil, with the idea of modernizing, and preparing students for the future. This is a small laptop computer, which already comes with software to prepare the student for the National High School Examination (ENEM), these tablets are also used as a support material for classes by teachers and students. In view of these problems, government investments, and the students' access to this technology, has the proposal of developing a Learning Object (OA), seeking to improve teaching and evaluation method, providing greater student interest and automation of the teachers' work. Objective: this work aims to build a Learning Object, in the form of a game, in order to motivate and help the students of the sixth year in learning the Portuguese language. Methodology: in the development of the tool followed a five-step process that occurred in a sequential manner: 1. Determine the subject to be treated in OA; 2. Raise system requirements; 3. Define the proposed system architecture; 4. Develop OA and 5. Validate OA.Results: The learning object was validated with fifteen students at the Cônego Torres school in Serra Talhada -PE. The OA contributed to the students' learning, as they were more interested in learning using the tool and were able to improve their knowledge. The initial median of the students was 7.0 before they used the OA, median calculated on top of each student's grades. After using the OA, the median of the students increasedto 9.0 with a positive result, improving students' learning. Conclusion: it was concluded that expectations were met, both for the students and the teachers who were satisfied, because the tool had a huge contribution in the students' learning, the students were motivated more to learn through the game, and the same complemented the teaching work. Students learned the content easily. OAs are still poorly used in schools, but we conclude that they can be present in the student's daily life, serving as a complement to the subjects studied in the classroom.
