    This work aims to report the activities carried out during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (MSI) at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) in the area of Small Animal Medical Clinic, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Érika Fernanda Torres Samico Fernandes Cavalcanti. The internship, with a total workload of 420 hours, took place from October 29, 2024, to January 29, 2025, at the RedeVet Veterinary Clinic, located in the municipality of Caruaru – PE, under the supervision of Veterinarian Dr. Mauro de Araújo Penaforte Junior. The activities developed during the period included attending clinical and specialized consultations, assisting in outpatient procedures, monitoring hospitalized patients, handling animals, and assisting in physical exams. This report is structured in two chapters. The first chapter presents the characteristics of the internship location and the casuistry observed during the period. The second chapter presents a case report on a hepatic abscess in a dog caused by Klebsiella sp.
