The Obligatory Supervised Internship is a subject offered in the curriculum of the undergraduate course in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, carried out in a practical manner by the undergraduate student of that course in the eleventh period. In this sense, it took place during the period from April 5th to June 18th of the current year, in the Quality Control Sector of the PRIME SEAFOODS Industry or ESO. The aforementioned company is located in Bairro do Pina in the city of Recife-PE, with a total workload of 420 hours. As the fish production industries are booming in Brazil, there is a need to guarantee a quality product for the consumer, aiming at food safety. In this sense, the objective was to carry out the Internship and report the experience, through a case report described in the second chapter of this report. During the Internship, the Company's activities were monitored, and the presence of parasites was observed at the reception of the fish. This information was computed and photocataloged. Based on the above, it is concluded that the completion of the internship for the student is of paramount importance for their training, given the integration of theory with practice, and that the presence of these parasites in fish is an alert to public health, confirming the essential role of the veterinarian's work in animal, environmental and human health.
