    The pet market has grown a lot over the last few years, this growth has been happening in Brazil and worldwide. In 2014, the pet market accounted for 0.38% of the national GDP, earning around 16.7 billion reais in the country, thus demonstrating a great importance in the domestic market. Feed quality must be guaranteed even after leaving the factory, and supervision and instruction on how to proceed should be ensured. Ten samples of rations from different brands were collected in various neighborhoods of the city of Recife and analyzes of MS, MM, EE, PB and FB were made to compare with the label information of the rations. All rations gave changes on their protein, some rations the protein only reached the minimum indicated. Thus, it can be concluded that product exposure causes changes in quality.
