Item Benefícios da natação para crianças com transtorno do espectro autista(2023-09-06) Marinho, Carla de Lima; Lindoso, Rosângela Cely Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3076590717855221; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1897344851607618Swimming is one of the physical activities considered most complete to be introduced into the lives of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This research has the general objective of understanding the benefits of swimming for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through the production of knowledge on the topic. The specific objectives were to understand Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD, analyze swimming as a Physical Education teaching content and understand the relationship between Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD and swimming. This is a descriptive study, of the bibliographic review type with a qualitative approach. The study's methodology was the analysis of six articles located in databases/digital libraries: LILACS, Scielo and Periódicos CAPES. The results indicate the presence of improvements in the general daily behavior of children with autism after contact and continuous interaction with teachers and classmates in the experience of playful activities and simulation of real situations through verbal orders and imitation of movements in the aquatic environment. The conclusion reports the integration of affectivity and playfulness as essential factors in the teaching-learning process of individuals with ASD.
