The International Bread and Paint Arts Festival has been held annually since 2012 in the Pina Favela, in Recife, Pernambuco. The event opens a public selection every year to welcome graffiti artists, musicians, and volunteers who typically engage for five days in a kind of "arts carnival," featuring street graffiti, concerts, and social actions such as hairdressing, braiding, and turban tying, among others. As an independent cultural production, it was conceived as an alternative for the youth of Pina, working on the revitalization of public spaces in the community, thus becoming our main tool in defense of our territory, threatened by real estate speculation. Art emerges from one of Recife's most neglected areas by the government and breaks through the statistics as an alternative for young people to envision a future away from violence, drugs, and crime. With this article, we aim to construct an experiential narrative that problematizes and questions the importance of this activity within a reality of exclusive public institutionalization of artistic/cultural spaces only in the elitized areas of Recife City, demonstrating that peripheral organizations already fulfill this role, addressing this deficit with little or no resources.

(2019-07-22) Silva, Gilmere Lopes da; Silva, Cristiane Barbosa Tosta da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0195862765669468; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8552453021644175
This research aimed to understand the teaching of Art integrated to technologies in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), the experience of teaching practices of teachers in this area of schools of the Recife Municipal Network, based on the studies of Sérgio Haddad and Maria Clara Di Pierro on EJA, linking technologies to Ana Mae Barbosa's discussions on Art Teaching in the educational context and Antoni Zabala on Pedagogical Practice. For this purpose, the qualitative, descriptive and interpretative research was adopted as a methodological perspective, using as data collection instruments the conduction of semi-structured interviews, as well as the observation of classes of two teachers of this teaching modality. . Considering art as a language that manifests itself with distinct characteristics in each age and culture, as well as technologies, we understand that its appropriation by the young and adult students means the acquisition of knowledge about themselves and the world, with influence. of their own life experiences in the process of building this knowledge. Thus, we understand that, although Youth and Adult Education has made considerable advances as a field and field of study, its effectiveness is also compromised as the different contents and knowledge are distorted or even ignored and even ignored. by the teachers, as to reality, and by the institutions responsible for serving this specific public. In this sense, the results showed that the teaching and learning of art integrated with the technologies in the EJA can suffer implications depending on the socioeconomic context in which the students are inserted, the teaching experience and didactics and also on the age group of the students.

I'll report the experience of 'Embroidering for Care' group and the importance of using embroidery as an art-educational tool that transcends manual practice, promoting creative expression, affective care and reflection on social, environmental and political issues. I highlight the lessons learned about ethnic-racial relations, peasantry and popular education in a way that is linked to private, historical and community experiences, establishing a dialog between academic knowledge and the traditional knowledge that emerges from everyday experience.

This monograph aimed to understand, through the speech of two visually impaired students (one blind and one with low vision), what generates well-being and discomfort in these subjects in the school context, especially in the classroom in the art discipline. and comes to list how the teacher of visual arts teaches to the visually impaired person. For data construction, we used the semi-structured interview, conducted individually, in the school environment. The analysis was based on the proposal of the Nuclei of Meaning, based on socio - historical basis. The results revealed that students feel well-being at school because they feel welcomed due to the positive relationship they establish with peers, teachers and other education professionals, as well as being able to interfere with school changes. The discomfort is related to the lack of autonomy, motivated by the architectural and attitudinal barriers, the latter characterized by the lack of respect from colleagues, while the teacher of the art discipline in the classroom interacts with all students and especially with the student. of visual impairment, favoring the development of their potential.

The universe of communication has undergone radical changes since the invention of photography, and new media. The Instagram has been pushing new forms of photography, and it enables us to a new imaginative conversation and new senses. The purpose of this research was to analyze the changes in the female body narrative in the visual arts throughout history and how our body can be used as an artistic expression. On this study, we compared the nuances about the changes of the visual narrative in the use of the female body as a subject in the art of the twentieth century, performing a cut in digital form, painting and photography. In addition, we explore the use of the new media to express and produce images, such as using the Instagram application. Thus, two images that express the female body were analyzed; the first one was of the Mexican artist Frida Khalo, her self-portrait with short hair, produced in the year 1940. The second image is a self-portrait of the American artist Cindy Sherman, titled Untitled Film Still # 6; work of the year of 1977. Data analysis showed that the new media, such as Instagram, can be used as a trigger for the construction of meaning in the production of images of the contemporary woman, dispensing with the use of words to share these ephemeral records through the use of the application on the internet.

The theoretical framework included discussions about initial training, teaching practice and methodological procedures, based on the following authors: (BARBOSA, 1985, 1991, 2010, 2014), (FERRAZ and FUSARI, 2009, 1997). The procedures methodological studies consisted of conducting field research in the municipal college of Paudalho, for the data collection a semi-structured interview, questionnaire and classroom observations were performed, the subjects were teachers and students. As data analysis we used the technique of content analysis (BARDIN, 1977). The data obtained indicate that there are no teachers with a degree in Arts at the researched school. The theoretical references consider discussions on the exaggerated consumption of material goods that is responsible for a good part of the environmental impacts, among which we can highlight the high production of waste, bringing a reflection on how art can contribute to improve this situation. For the theoretical discussions mentioned, the theoretical contribution will be based on Barbosa, (1991; 1998), Cavinatto, (1997), Marodin and Morais (2004), Valle (1995) and Zuben (1998), among other authors. At the same time, it cites some artists who use the materiality of garbage in their artworks as examples, Vick Muniz, Jota Azevedo, VeronikaRickterová. The methodological procedure adopted consists of a semi- structured interview with the art teachers of the school where the research was carried out in order to obtain data on the methodologies used. It is expected that the results obtained and the discussions proposed from them, contribute to an awareness and changes in habits in relation to the environment, awakening the students' creativity and keen eye for and with the Visual Arts.
