    The Mandatory Supervised Internship (MSI) is the compulsory subject of the 11th period of the Veterinary Medicine course at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), being an important curricular component for obtaining the Bachelor's degree. It is aimed at practical experience in some area of veterinary medicine, totaling 420 hours. Therefore, the main objective of this report is to demonstrate the activities executed during the MSI at the UFRPE Veterinary School Hospital, by the student Waleska Mirella Bezerra da Silva, under the guidance of Professor Dr. André Mariano Batista and supervision of the veterinary Me. Paula Gabriela da Silva Cardoso, from 1st of July to October 8th of 2022. Additionally, it’s aimed to report a case of open pyometra in a mixed-breed bitch that was followed-up during the internship period. The execution of the MSI allowed the experience in several subareas of the medical clinic, with great professional enrichment, and interpersonal development of paramount importance.
