The objective of this study is to identify the social representations about the body held by students of the Undergraduate Course in Physical Education at UFRPE. The work involves a field research at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE), with 38 subjects, students of the Degree Course in Physical Education. The instrument used for data collection was a test of free association of words, used according to the theory of social representations, ordered and justified by the subjects themselves, made through the platform of "Google forms", starting with some questions to characterize the collaborators of the research, such as: name, gender, period of training and age. The work seeks to compare the results of the standard social representation, which is the central core, presented through the words: movement and health (healthy), on the periphery of the representations we find the words: muscle, well-being, physiology, expression and time, oscillating between the biological and the social.
