    Escolha lacacional dos serviços de saúde: evidências para Recife

    Motivated by the logic of relevance that the health care services sector has in the population of the city of Recife, this monograph aims to analyze the spatial distribution of this sector along the territory belonging to that city. The RAIS-MTE microdata are used as the main data source, based on the years 2006 and 2010. From this perspective, the decisions of locational choice based on local amenities are analyzed. Therefore, socioeconomic factors and accessibility factors are used as local amenities and it is assumed that the establishments of this private financing sector determine their locational choices with spatial selectivity. In this sense, a cataloging of the types of health care services according to the financing, level of technical incorporation, levels of performance and size is carried out. Therefore, positive evidence is gathered about the influence of local amenities on the decision of locational choice of these establishments.
