For Chiavenato, leadership is essential in all administration functions, because the one who manages needs to know human nature and lead (Chiavenato, 2003). In other words: Leading people. However, the absence of leadership in certain work environments, both in the public and private sectors, can lead to poor management of how tasks are carried out by their subordinates. According to Rennó (2015, p.173) “[...] one of the most important aspects of a manager is the ability to lead their employees, as leadership involves the ability to influence people so that the desired goals are achieved”. Based on this premise, this work aims to analyze the leadership of the manager, on the decisions of teachers in the education of children, during the confrontation of the pandemic in the school year of 2020. In this way, the place of study of the proposed theme was a municipal school body located in the city of Limoeiro in Pernambuco. As a literary review of the proposed theme, we will point out a brief perspective of a leader through the conceptions of some of the main authors. Therefore, we will present the most congruent use for the study of this work with the theory of Blake and Mouton and the application of the Management Grid model for the analysis of our research. The work involved applying the qualitative method, using data collection through forms as research samples. The observations of the collected analyzes served as a basis for a more comparative understanding with the arguments of the theory of the respective authors. To consult the information, a bibliographic research was used, based on the same author. Discussing the main divergences through the interpretation of the Managerial Grid axes, seeking to adapt a more favorable leader to the expectations of the school body.
