    Impacto econômico da interiorização da UFPE no município de Caruaru: análise segundo o método de controle sintético

    This course conclusion work aims to examine the impact of the interiorization policy of the Agreste Academic Center (CAA) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) on the economic development of the city of Caruaru in the rural region of Pernambuco. The empirical strategy used was the Synthetic Control Method (SCM) in the period 2000-2016, which allows for the visualization of the trajectory of the city's PIB per capita before and after the implementation of the policy. The results indicate that the existence of an impact of CAA on PIB per capita in the municipality of Caruaru cannot be confirmed.
